v5.3 is up, removed DSPManager anded ViPER4Android audio mod for insane audio.........:D
Edit: I will be adding DSPManager
back in just to keep the cyanmobile sound settings fully functional. Use viper audio or dsp, not both.

I had this same problem when trying out CyanMobile 4.0 when Jlmancuso was running it, and I think I was the only one with this problem:

I'm setting up the apps2sd as specified in the OP, but my apps aren't installing to the SD card; I've got it partitioned and when I've used the Darktremor A2SD with different ROMs it's always worked fine. To be clear: I'm not using DT A2SD here. Has anyone else run into this, or am I just a dunce? (The answer could be both, btw....)

If anyone's got any troubleshooting suggestions, I'd love to hear them, because it's an awesome ROM otherwise. Thanks!

I dont believe its going to move apps already loaded, its a from now on they will be installed to type thing. (if my understanding of it is correct), you can move them manually to external or sdext if you selected, then afterwards apps should go to sd (witch ever you chose sd-ext or external)

Ah.....so here's the process I've been using:

1. Before doing anything, back up all apps using Titanium Backup
2. Do the ol' nandroid/Superwipe/wipe sd-ext in Smelkus' recovery.
3. Flash CyanMobile and reboot.
4. Bury my phone under piles of clothing/etc. while the first boot takes place (that startup music is loud in the workplace :) )
5. Sign in to Google services.
6. Complete the steps listed in the OP to set up A2SD
7. Try reinstalling everything using Titanium Backup.

What's been happening is that I inevitably get a 'Running Low on Storage Space' notification. My understanding is that, after I set up the A2SD as specified, they should automatically install on the SD card/sd-ext, but it seems I might have to move them manually, if I understand right?

I'll putz around with it tomorrow, but just thought I'd see if I was the only one having issues. Thanks for helping!

Use a root file explorer and check the /data/data partition and the /sd-ext/data partition and see where your apps are.

It might be because you are using titanium backup. Because they are restoring data and apps, it might be putting it exactly where it was before. This ROM doesn't use the normal sym-link to put the apps on the sd card. So it might only install apps on the sdcard that are "installed" not restored.

Okay guys check out this thread http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2305750

CyanMobile help, requests, and general info it will help setup your ROM. Although I have not finished the map it will help you navigate the settings and helps explain many of the options.

Note on the built-in a2sd. Once it is properly setup all will work even ti backup. Although setting up the a2sd is a multi step process and requires a reboot.

Welcome to the new age of Gingerbread!!
Gingerbread? Yes I know everyone wants ICS&JB but they have not had any of this kicka$$ gingerbread yet.

4g, HDMI, SMS/MMS, FFC, Flash media (streaming internet video), Every freature HTC offered with this phone works with this rom (even the kick stand. LOL!!)
    Now including ViPER Audio Mod

    Introduction:
This is not just another themed out gingerbread rom trying to be ICS/JB. This is a complete rework of GB with many features found in ICS/JB back ported. I did not create this rom but I did merge the source code with multiple OG device trees to get it working. The real credit goes to SquadZone!! These guys are awesome and have done a super job with this. So for everything that works thank them and for everything that is broken blame me.
    ViPER4Android:
Audio that will blow your mind!
ViPER’s Audio is an audio enhancing software to provide you with a better audio experience.ViPER’s Audio improves bass with its Dynamic bass system and ViPER Bass. Not a fan of strong bass? ViPER’s Audio is excellent in terms of clarity with its unique ViPER Clarity technology.
Surround sound experience has never been better than with ViPER’s Surround Settings including Field Surround, Differential Surround (Haas Effect) and Virtual Headphone Surround+.

    Thanks to:
jlmancuso - for allowing me to continue his work. (Thanks bro)
Wambo_ - for for all his help. (You da man)
SquadZone - for an awesome source
Atyoung - for the best gb kernel
Evervolv - for being the best
    ViPER520 (ViPER4Android)
    zhuhang (ViPER4Android)
    CM - another awesome group
rujelus22 - for the inverted apps
XDA - where would we be without them?

    Testers:
    Install Instructions:
    1. Backup your current ROM
    2. Download and flash current rom
    3. Do not flash anything else (except kernels) If you flash any mods you will most likely have issues.
    4. Reboot phone and wait. First boot takes a very long time and you may get a reboot right after the splash screen. This is normal no worries also the boot song will finish before the rom is done loading.
    5. You must click on the ViPER4Android icon in the app drawer
and install your prefered driver then reboot for the audio mod to work.
    (Give root access
    if asked)

    What is CyanMobile:

CyanMobile is an aftermarket ROM like CyanogenMod, MIUI, JoyOS, LewaOS and others that are built from source...
Absolutely built from source based on CyanogenMod 7 (Gingerbread v2.3.7) and modifications from AOSP and AOKP
Thanks To CyanogenMod Team, AOKP Team, and AOSP Team for Their Work

    ************************************************** ************************************************** ******************
** CyanMobile is Short of " *Cyan* (CyanogenMod) *Mob* (Mobiling) *I* (Improving) and *L* (Let's) *E* (Experiment)" **
    ************************************************** ************************************************** ******************

All features are based on what users do and what users need with lots of improvements here and there
This ROM (optimized by Gingerbread) uses updates from other branches (like ICS stuff, AOSP and AOKP) with reverse
    engineering or backporting skills
It can be used without any need to have any Google application (Gapps) installed..

    Helpful Tips:

How to setup some of the basic features

Changing how you answer your phone
    1. Settings -- CyanMobile Settings -- calls
    2. Check allow incall ui touch this will give you a ui to answer/reject calls (you must uncheck the two settings above this or you will be unable to answer your phone)
    3. Also you can recheck the two options to use the menu and back keys and then either the buttons or the ui will work

    Setting up GPS
    1. Settings -- Main Settings -- Location & Security

    2. Check Use wireless networks

    3. Check Use GPS satellites

    4. Select GPS source then select Use Internal GPS

    5. Last one is your choice (it does use your mobile data) Check Use assisted GPS

Second there is a built in a2sd but needs to be setup.
    1. Settings-- development -- check mount SD on boot and enable download on SD.

    2. Reboot

    3. Settings -- applications -- preferred install location -- sdext

    4. Settings -- cyanmobile settings -- check allow application moving

    5. Select install location and choose sd-ext

    6. Now reboot

From now on all apps will automatically be on sdext.

You can go into settings -- application -- manage applications
If everything was done correctly then you will have an option to move to sdcard and move to sd-ext/phone.

Now I know some of yall are getting tired of setting up this rom every time I put out a new release. While this wont save everything it will save most of our settings. Open CyanMobile settings and scroll over to Utilities and you will find options to back up and restore. Just follow their instructions.

    To disable boot audio
Settings -- CyanMobile Settings -- Performance
Uncheck enable boot sound and reboot (I have tested and this does work)
