Yeah, 4.3 builds sit in a rather precarious spot. There really isn't that much in the way for front facing changes when compared 4.2, but you get those lovely bootloops. At least with 4.4, you got sometime to look forward to every time your phone reboots.
Either way, I'll be keeping an eye out, I like the idea of an no frills version of AOSP that built with an really optimized toolchain.
Edit: Perhaps you guys could do what no one seems to want to do, an AOSP 4.3 build with a 3.0.x kernel. I don't know if anyone else would be interested, but I know I would be.
