Need a little help with debugging.

I keep having the launcher end up with no icons (can still switch to open apps) and then the screen crashes (see screenshots)

This seems to happen after closing apps (different ones and at random)

Anything I can do to resolve / debug this?

Using 1.7.3 from first post. The AOKP build is not vanilla ICS though is it?
Thought the drivers and kernel were the same as this?

no not by a long way. aokp is a pretty heavy mod on ICS! if you want vanilla ICS go with Team GalaxianSoup AOSP but remember that that rom aswell is built from source! we don't have any official ics roms for our tab yet (which explanis the sporadic bugs and missing camera)

HDTV Adapter problem

Just got Samsung HDTV adapter and it is rotated 90 degrees clockwise on my Sony Bravia LCD. Anyone has the solution

I think it was hdmi driver problems. Some say it happens on Overcome too.
I also tried AOKP build 39 having the same problem.
[note: I have a problem with AOKP not waking up from sleep which makes me back to AOSP]

In other thread said that it works fine on P7300ZSKK2_P7300ZZTKK2_P7300XXKJ6 ROM

Hey guys, thanks alot for the rom. This is the third one I put on my 8.9 since rooting it yesterday. First was cm9, so used to that as I have used it much on my HTC evo 4g. Second was the aokp + galaxian soup one. This rom is the only one that would let me change my font using rom tool box pro. Enjoying it & thanks again. I'm not new to xda (because of the evo) & I hope to help out where I might. May be a while as I have lots of reading to do. I'm also a Jr moderator at "tincandroid", check it out if anyone has a evo, a skyrocket, evo3d, evo lte. Anyway, thanks again.

Sorry, can the P7300 make phone calls with ICS (I know these are not based on official ROMs)? Thank you!

This thread seems to be dying...
What is Samsung Devs doing with the official ICS?
Cyanogen Team has developed JellyBean for our P5 and P5wifi with rear camera working.
Is GalaxianSoup Team going to jump to JellyBean? It must be cool :cowboy:
I have tried the CM10 unofficial Rom and I can feel it smoother than ICS ;)

Oww... don't say that nycbjr is taking an Apple :silly:
But somehow... an apple a day keeps the doctor away :p

Anyway... Great thanks to all GS devs for your great work so far.
Hoping to see a new GS thread supporting our p5 and p5wifi devices... :highfive:

    • Auto brightness seems to work sometimes, but not all the time.

    Installation:
*** You maybe able to flash over previous builds, we haven't tested, if you have issues after, please try a wipe/re-flash ***

    1. In CWM recovery, clear your data/factory reset
    2. Clear the dalvik cache (under advanced, or under the wipe menu in overcome cwm)
    3. Flash the provided zip using CWM recovery
    4. Flash gapps from CWM recovery
    5. Bootup and setup your Google account
    6. OC if you want with included NoFrills CPU, and set to interactive governor! (tested with other OC apps like setcpu as well)
    7. Give it a chance, this is a deodexed ROM and will boot slow the first time and when you use apps the first time.

    Weekend Update

Hey guys! I know everyone is waiting patiently for a new build, or at least some news, well I'm going to give you some news, update probably won't happen until next week.

2 members of the team had some hardware issues this week, so progress slowed down a bit until today.

We have very promising leads on the HW Video Acceleration, and Camera bugs, these bave been our primary concern, and also the most "challenging". As many of you know Nvidia has been less than forthcoming with their code, even amid promises of opening up their source "sometime this year".

Well some clues from other devs and roms, I believe have us pointed in the right direction.

Camera, today we received some leaked tegra libs, in it are camera stuff, upon a simple swap in I got a black screen while loading camera.apk, doesn't sounds great right? but that means the camera hardware (well should mean) is being recognized (at least partially), we may need to write some config, or code, who knows.

Also we began Looking for seriously at a 3g version.

Good stuff happening, keep up the faith!
