[Tool] CWM-Recovery-Touch 5.8.1.5 Flasher for P920 Optimus 3D (only Froyo/GB)

Hi guys,

here is my flash tool to install the ClockWorkMod-Recovery-Touch 5.8.1.8 manually on our Optimus 3D.

! This tool only works with rooted LGO3D !

How to use it:

if not present - Install P920-USB Drivers
download the "LGP920_CWM_5.8.1.5_Flasher.zip" und unzip folder on your PC
turn on the USB-Debugging
connect your phone via usb with the PC
click "LGP920_CWM_5.8.1.5_Flasher.exe" to start the flash tool
choose Y to start flashing or N to cancel
your phone reboots after finishing
press any key to close the tool

How to start into CWM-Recovery:

turn off your phone
start it with holding -Power + VolDown(-) + 3D-keys

All credits for the CWM-Recovery-Image goes to the ClockWorkMod-Team

For some reason it didn't work on mine.. RAN the software, it said complete, and I rebooted.. and nothing ....

There are some causes if it not work:

your phone is not rooted
USB-Debugging isnt activated
your PC firewal is blocking "adb-win"

How? Can just choose Optimus 2X?

Install the latest ROM Manager (5.0.0.5 or 5.0.0.6). The problem should be fixed there. But, under no circumstances, install the LGE Optimus 2X image!! You won't be able to boot your phone afterwards.

Thanks for the tool, however it doesn´t work for me. Using Windows XP here, and it just write the text to the screen and quits, I have no prompt to reply Y or N.

I ended up flashing the new recovery by using the "dd" method, writing the .img file directly to the recovery memory block.

Bought it as well through ROM manager, works nice, much easier than using volume + power button.

I couldn't test it because I don't use a XP-System

You could try this one on XP => LGP920_CWM_5.8.1.5_Flasher_WinXP.zip

With the "RomManager free" I have the Problem that I can't choose the image for Optimus 3D
That was my reason to make this tool.

Thanx for the tool, but in my case when I scroll till the end in ROM Manager, there is an option to Flash the CWM Touch and it doesn't ask for phone model, you just buy it.

I can confirm that. Bought it 4 minutes ago and worked perfectly. It's funny that it is not able to detect our device if you choose the first option to flash CWM but if you buy it with the option at the bottom it obviously has not problems detecting, didn't even need to ask for the exact device, just installed in a few seconds.

Same probleme here, with newest version of Rom Manager. Wich Rom do you use?

i use thiaz 2.4 and i see only lge optimus 2x in phone model.

the tool doesn't work for me. I pressed Y to start and then it said completed but when I reboot into recovery, I still have other version (non-touch) of CWM installed.

What did I do wrong? Please help.
