OTA for ROM update is not working..? I tried to update 1st amendment every time I hit touch here nothing happen..

Never mind .. now it is working.. downloading the updates..

Themes in OTA

If I want to see any new themes, do I need to do update OTA or the new themes will show up automatically? It seems that when I did the update OTA, the updating keeps spinning non stop. Is it functioning?

The ota is a Web based app. The second we upload and update the xmls, you will see it. The "update ota" button is for updating the actual app, which is unneeded ATM. One thing that should be noted, its that you do need a data connection to properly view the files in the its. If you have no connection, the categories, when selected, will appear blank.

Yes you can just freeze or uninstall. I freeze mine just in case I find something calls for it.

This is a tough one and a side effect of flashing in general. I have had this happen on different roms over the years.

You can try a new modem flash. Also I have called at&t and told them to reset phone on their end because of the problem and it works. Sounds weird by the system sometimes does not recognize the phone after a flash.

IMHO this is the best Rom I've used since I've had my infuse! Battery life without using my got to battery saver JDefender is awesome ran 24 hours and had 38 percent. Great work in putting this together and thanks!!!

Sorry. It should not do that. Soft reboots are created when the system hits a snag in loading that it cannot recover from to continue loading and is try to fix it self with a soft boot. I only get this when something is loaded that should not be, even an app made for froyo that tries to load at boot I found has caused it. Can be hard to diagnose on a single phone.

That's what i was suspecting-an app hanging. I'll try running it a few days with little added apps. Will Uninstall some of my old favs and see if that makes a change. Seems to happen more on Go Launcher vs ADW.

Ask catcubano, he recently found it was a bad/corrupt backup that caused the issue, so who knows. Also, I run bot those launchers, but more go and have had no real issues.

This was happening to me as well. I tried everything. Every kind of wipe, reflash ... everything. The culprit was my TiBu backup, which must have corrupted an app. It would happen even with just an app only restore.

After I installed everything fresh from the market, all was right with the world again. You may want to consider that if nothing else works. That might be what will fix it.

Great idea. I actually thought of doing that. Based on your experience. I'll do just that. Funny thing is as soon as I install the Rom all is ok. Then once I batch restore selecting my favs in TiBu, then that's where the issues come in.
Perhaps I'll delete my entire TiBu on the phone since I have a Box and Dropbox copy should i ever need something. I'll do as you did and install from the market.

OK cool but what calls for those 2. Cause there was apps that didn't have those at all and they ran fine. Ill do a backup of them and then uninstall.

Actually I think it is the system update from Samsung, which a custom rom by default makes unnecessary. But I nly keep the backup in case I need to troubleshoot or something. Again, you should be fine doing that. Save a lil battery to so that it does not attempt to connect to data.

I'm also having Wi-Fi issues. It seems that after a while, the Wifi drops and then won't connect to my router even if wifi is still turned on. I think I've narrowed down when it is happening, I just don't know what to do about it.

This seems to happen when the phone comes out of sleep and wifi re-initiates. Under the wifi section of battery, when I go into the details, under Power Control is states "Turn Wi-Fi off when idle or not available". (There no obvious place to change that setting, nor would I want to for the sake of battery life.) I think when you wake the phone, wifi bugs out. It tries to connect to my router, but fails.

The quick fix is to just turn wifi off and then back on, but I'm not quite sure why it's doing that on waking or what to do for a more permanent fix.

Anyone have any ideas?

Yep. I've seen quite a few people mention it. qkster's script didn't solve it for me either. I don't know if it's a modem issue or a power issue. I don't believe it is the rom per se, as it's not unique to this rom, but I would love to find a fix.
