I tried to google it to figure out what's under the hood but there were no results i could follow. Went to gsm arena to have a look and haven't found one.
Thing is, if you want to buy a Chinese phone you better have a look around xda to filter out the candidates. The only reason ZTE went into mention (imo) is cause there are few guys around here that make good ROMs. I think Omega Vesko and KonstaT are the ones worth mentioning.
It boils down to this: if you want to go for Chinese phone that has good community support (which should enable anyone to build their own ROMs), google it, search xda..
I've personally narrowed it to, wait for it,........ Nexus 5.
Why? Half price of other mfgs top models and a reference Android phone with Snapdragon 800 on board. aaaand, xda is filled to brim with good, excellent devs for the device. I really cannot find anything that is better atm.
On related note, whomever thinks Samsung is a good Android phone is absolutely wrong. Their devices lag for months in development and give the bestest of devs here nightmares.
