[Q] Coming back from PwnMyMoto to get to Latest OTA (w/ Root)

Title might be a bit confusing, but this is the current status of my phone:

Verizon Moto X
Android Version 4.2.2
Rooted via PwmMyMoto-1.4.3-Verizon (a la http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2444957)

My questions is, how do I get Android 4.4 and have it stay rooted (for the purposes of tethering)

Check out the "slap my moto" thread in original development. It'll take you through the process of installing a back door for root (not actually rooting yet) on 4.2.2 and then upgrading to 4.4 with root
