I've never given any smartphone an editors choice award before, though I daily regret not giving the One S an award of some kind. For the HTC One I'm giving our Editors Choice Gold award, which is our second highest award. The One is an incredibly awesome device

I'm a big fan of the HTC One and can see myself using it for quite a while, even without seeing necessarily everything of its main upcoming contenders. It's a device which amazingly is built to the kind of specifications I'd want from a device — huge emphasis on camera, all metal construction with actively tuned antennas, and a powerful SoC inside.

Are you guys aware that this forum is now infested with trolls?

This forum to remind everyone is made to this specific device to this seek info, troubleshoot, help others and develop for this device, its not for collecting uninformed opinions, bashing, crying and feeling helpless

Some of you might have geniune concerns but trust me everyone else are just those who don't have the device and are not even considering to buy it

They are simply here to waste everyone's time and just to spoil the party for those who got it or waiting for it

Despite 98% in average of all the reviews online, highly praised by the entire press

Here what our friendly trolls are concluding :

- it's not unibody
- it plastic
- its camera sucks
- bad in digital zoom
- bad in HDR
- battery life is miserable
- reception sucks

This and every other mobile problem on this planet, shocking how we come into this forum and its doom/gloom meanwhile outside the entire world is in shock and awe with this device

Here is what I think of this forum right now:

It's miserable, bitter, deconstructive and plain useless, it has nothing to do with development or help and everything to do with nagging, crying and complaining

This thread is clearly meant to hype up the HTC One for its fans, and to discuss positives, as well as serious concerns

So this is not the place for fans of other devices to come in and start attacking others

The latest few posts were pretty insulting, you don't see me go into the Samsung forums and going on with my non sense

Thos who followed my threads know how exhaustively I look into things, my predictions are often accurate and I'm not a blind fanboy infact ive been constantly attacking HTC for the 1080p push and their rusty super laggy ondemand governor in games

Regarding ultra pixels i haven't been blindly hyping it up, in fact ive been clearly reminding everyone that you are trading pixel detail for low light, unlike Samsung fans who simply want to go berserk at the name of octa, as if its not absurd to use quad a15 let alone the quad a7 in parallel on a phone, when all we really miss urgently is GPU power, those quad or octa are not gonna drive your 1080p display

From our experience on the one x we know exactly how hard it was to manage those quad core, with many battery saving measures done by nvidia crippling the cores and beating the very purpose of quad core

I have also done my share of development on the ultra Rosie project for all Sense 3.x devices and my game mods

So really this is no place for Samsung fans to defend their devices, they can do this in their perspective forums, in fact there is a very clear out of topic rule in xda for this exact situation

for many people around here, you are damned if you do and damned if you don't, so I will be reporting any further fanboy BS

And yes I stand by my word, its 4+4 by Samsung's own chipset label until proven otherwise, in fact I'm 99% positive they don't want otherwise
