I'm uploading a nandroid-backup of the german stock-firmware to my Dropbox.
Maybe mistercheese can add this to his collection before the file stops working due to high traffic?

Don't install rom manager, you can´t chose (in options) your ceellphone.

Ony install rom toolbox (pro).
The app have all options you need.
When you went to make a backup it said didn't find rom manager. But you have the options of "cancel" or try anyway". Chose the 2nd option. The phone rebooted into recovery and the backup was made. So as long as you have cwm recovery flashed to the phone it will work.

Ok thank you very much ^^. But I have another problem. When I perform the manipulation that you say, I came across a black background with a triangle with a question mark and there is also the bugdroid. And I can not do the backup. Why please ?

You can flash the original recovery.img with fastboot or even CWM. If you made no backup, try one of the recovery image files from the nandroid backups.

I had use CWM backup already. I can see sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/2012...../recovery.img. But I try to restore by CWM. After that, CWM still here.

but when I backup it, it's already install CWM. So how to backup the orginal recovery before install CWM?

get a phone with stock recovery, and boot cwm recovery (don't flash) and do a nandroid backup.
it will backup the stock recovery that is still flashed on the phone.

then use fastboot to flash the stock recovery.

So what do you think would happen if I flashed a stock rom from a USA device to my Comviq one? If it worked, ya think I could utilize updates even if I had to use ones from the states? I'm just curious. I also may do just that when I fly over there.

Sorry, I'm the first time use CWM

How to do these? How to type the commands?

"2. Boot to fastboot:
- If Android is running:
$ adb reboot-bootloader

3. Upload & run the recovery image:
$ fastboot boot recovery-yyyy.mm.dd.img"

Is this the answer?

1. download the android sdk from developer.android.com
2. download iuss cwm image (I just put it in the platform-tools directory for convenience, in my case this is C:\Program Files(x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools)
3. Plug in phone via USB to the PC
4. On phone settings, make sure you have checked Applications->Development->USB Debugging
5. On PC open a command window (Flag Key + R, cmd, click OK)
6. navigate to the path of android platform-tools. e.g. cd \Program Files(x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools
7. type in: adb reboot-bootloader
8. after bootloader screen shows (looks the same as booting screen to me), type in: fastboot boot recovery-2012.06.05.01.img
9. It should boot into clockwork mod recovery. Volume up/down as cursor, power button selects, back key escapes

What you can do:

1. Download one of the stock nandroid-backups from mistercheese's repo
2. Unzip and copy the backup to sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/
3. Boot CWM
4. backup and restore -> advanced restore -> recovery
5. voila!

Hi, just wandering if more people suffer from random reboots with this phone. Mine can sometimes run fine for a week, then suddenly reboot 3 times in a day. It happens even during charging when i'm not even touching it.

So, here you go, an ICS backup flashable using CWM - works on any bootloader version.

    1. Flash or boot CWM
    2. Backup your existing firmware (important)
    3. Download: CWM-flashable ICS FR
    4. Store the alcatel_ics_fr directory on SD as /clockworkmod/backup/alcatel_ics_fr/
    5. Use CWM's backup and restore -> restore -> alcatel_ics_fr to restore the image
    6. Choose data/factory reset to clear your data partition

Edit: the old warning about WiFi nvram is not an issue.

Rooting hint: the zip also contains boot_root.img, boot it using fastboot (fastboot boot boot_root.img) to get an easy adb root shell.

Many thanks to Lymnoreia for the clean backup.

After some silence, I'm here to give you something, guys. Jinxxed did it, again. A brand new build of CM-11.0, fresh from the oven, with his own kernel (version was stuck at 3.0.101 for some reason, but it is actually 3.5, contains updated drivers, no more outdated legacy stuff), reworked most of the stuff, etc.

Pretty good scores on Antutu (6321 on first try).

    Download:

    GApps | Mirror

Please note that this is still in Alpha, and a lot of changes will come in the future. If you find any bugs, please report!
