Guys I am stuck at getting the dev token.... - I have installed the htc driver (win8) but when I am using the toolkit, to get it, the toolkit restarts the phone to the bootloader screen, new cmd windows get opened but its stuck at < waiting for device > and doesn't proceed further.... :(

Looking the screenshot in the first post...

Do I understand it correctly that I need to s-off with revone before unlocking the bootloader? What is the correct order of these things?

I'm comfy with adb, fastboot and all that, but this is my first htc phone :)

No... S-off is not needed for unlocking the bootloader... You need to unlock the bootloader first, the you can flash custom recovery etc... S-off plays no part in this process...

Thanks for the response.

So if I may ask. It seems s-off its required for a lot of things in this forum.

What exact part does it play? Can I flash custom ROMs without s-off?

Is it just required for doing a Google edition conversion or reverting to stock without relocked/tampered warning?

I'm also confused as to what the order is of doing the certain things. Please tell me what I should.

The general process I followed and which worked for me was the following:

* First and foremost: DECLINE ALL FIRMWARE UPDATES TO KEEP HBOOT VERSION 1.44.
* Second: Unlock bootloader via HTCDev.com and fastboot. This should just work.
* Third: Try and fail and few times with revone to get S-OFF. I had to try somewhere between 5 and 10 times before I got it going, but I didnt need to root before doing so.
* Fourth: Voila. All good. Accept all updates and move along nicely.

It may be possible to do it other ways and to unlock bootloader directly via revone, but this worked for me.

I have a European GSM/LTE model not tied to any carrier, if that matters, and it shipped with HBOOT 1.44.

Since you're already here, and helpful... Are there any known disadvantages to going SuperCID? Or is it simply a no-brainer? I've backed up all my "vars", so if I need to return to stock, I know where I come from.

I'm not yet contemplating custom ROMs or rooting or anything like that, but historically, that's what I've done for all my devices, so I like to be prepared :)

I would like to add for those that like my toolkit, PLEASE DO NOT POST IT ELSEWHERE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!

I have seen multiple sites who copy and paste my work to their site! If I do not approve of it, then do not do it! it will discourage me from adding updates since it is being used for their own benefits!

    tl;dr.

If you post my work without permission, don't expect updates!

I created an easy to use GUI program for the HTC Amaze and I decided to make one for the HTC One. I spent a good over 10+ hours to learn how to script, watch videos on how to do it, working on it during school when I should have been listening lol and all that fun stuff. I am going to fix it and up and add more updates to it. You CAN place requests and I will try to fulfill it!

If this helped you out, Please press the thanks button and if you want, you can always donate!

    Bugs
    - Directory has to have one word.
    Ex:

Will Work. This will solve any issues if the buttons don't work when you press them.

    C:\Users\John\Dropbox\Phones\Amaze_All-In-One_Kit_V2.4

    C:\Users\John_Smith\Dropbox\Phones\Amaze_All-In-One_Kit_V2.4

Will NOT work. Your directory will look something like this and buttons won't work when you press it.

    C:\Users\John Smith\Dropbox\Phones\Amaze_All-In-One_Kit_V2.4

If you have 2 words, put the folder in Drive C:

Ex. This will solve any issues if the buttons don't work when you press them.

    C:\Amaze_All-In-One_Kit_V2.4
