That worked. User interface now works. Still getting "warning no file_contexts" error. Is that a problem?

Also, when you go to reboot, you get the warning about the system trying to reflash stock recovery. If you select "Go Back" It still reboots for some reason.

Thanks for all your hard work.

I looked up warning no file_contexts and it apparently has something to do with SElinux. It shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, the reboot thing is weird. But both issues are mostly aesthetic and we don't even have custom roms to flash yet.

Great, thanks. It's a shame about the custom rom thing - it would be great to start experimenting. At least we can now start trying out some of the mods.

** Phone Message

I also tried the 1.0 version (flashed successfully with ODIN) but it resulted in a black screen when entering recovery.

Do you have any solutions (or need more info)?

Argh, I screwed up. I'll fix it when I get home. For now you can abd in and use dd to copy the image file to recovery. The other should work though, tested it myself.

v1.2 Works fine!

- If you do a system backup , it states you did it in 1970 tho , not 2013 , and the time are also not correct.

It's because the kernel doesn't support SElinux. It's shouldn't be a problem. It's only within recovery.

I make a backup in your cwm 1.2 and it work perfekt.
But I think the mountpoint for the sdcard ist wrong. The internel storage is /data/media/0 and in cwm is /data/media/

Thx for your work.

Not sure I understand. The external sd card is mounted as /external_sd. Back and restore from both internal and external sd card works fine for me.

    ---------------------Warning!-----------------------------------------

This CWM recovery is for SGS4A (int'l) ONLY. Does not work on SGS4 from AT&T as it has a locked bootloader.
Please refer to this thread for a bounty on the bootloader.

    ---------------------Instructions for flash with ODIN---------

    1. Download ODIN 3.09 from here.
    2. Download CWM recovery from here.
    3. Extract the zip so you have the file CWM-Recovery-gt-i9295_v1-2.tar.md5.
    4. Restart your phone while holding the Volume Down button as the phone is booting.
    5. Press the Volume Up button to continue past the warning.
    6. With the phone attached to your computer open ODIN and press AP.
    7. Choose CWM-Recovery-gt-i9295_v1-2.tar.md5 and press start.
    8. Reboot system

If you already have another version of CWM recovery installed, you can alternatively download CWM-Recovery-gt-i9295_v1-2_zipFLASH.zip and flash it through CWM recovery.

As always, I take no responsibility in case your phone blows up.

When i install that one, i get an black screen when boot into Recovery, After The black /white I9295 screen it's totally dark, So no Screen in Recovery. i installed it with Odin.

I put the recovery.img of my build from yesterday into that zip, maybe you want to try. When installing the Rom, it is fully functional but probably there is something wrong with the "stand-alone" ? Trying should not be dangerous but use at your own risk ;)
Also, if you're using a 4.2 Kernel that may be the Problem..
    Greetings
    Thomas
