[DEV] KDZ Firmware Update Fix

Im not able to downgrade to V21A

I have upgraded to 20B and not able to root the phone, I tried to downgrade the phone to V21A but im not able to as the tool says you are already up to date.

The thing that i noticed is that i dont get this following option "7. Clear Phone Software update registry, Select "Different Country" and select your Language. Click <OK>"

Instead it goes to this window "LG Mobile Support tool" and says that im already up to date and does not give an option to start updating, somebody give me an option or am i doing something wrong over here.

Without rooting my phone battery dies in 4hrs!!

Please help, thanks in advance !!

I still have thesame problem.

the part #7, still does not come up.

Do i need to be connected to the internet, during this process?

is the shttp3-tool running and have you modified your hosts-file - like this?

Can somebody pls help with working IP address for hosts file? shhtp3 appears to be infected with trojan.

If ur using windows u can disable ur anti virus or force ur anti virus to allow the file that's wat I had to do

same - don't get the select country dialog. lg updater 1.5.5.5

also the log file in C:\shttps\www (i have created it manually) is always 0 byte.

what's wrong !!!

Extract the Content of Attached Zip anywhere you want.
This script must be run as administrator so Start ->All Programs ->Accessories -> right-click on Command Prompt -> select Run as administrator. Then drag-drop the script in and press enter.
OR
Open Notepad, write the fullpath name of the script inside double quotes e.g:

"X:\your folder\Automatic Offline Procedure.vbs"

and save it as whatever.cmd, then right-click this and run it as administrator.

The script automatically:
a) adds 127.0.0.1 csmg.lgmobile.com entry (temporarily) in hosts file,
b) runs the small HTTP Server(which is preconfigured to listen to port 9002 and run from wherever this package is extracted),
c) installs MSXML,
d) runs all the utilities automatically for you (you only have to set to ON the windows enabler),
e) and finally after closing the utility (R&D Test Tool) it reverts back your hosts file, removing the above entry and stops http server and windows enabler.

I have used the package from spyrosk (thanks !) in page 3 but in another computer

WORKED ! I have obtained the famous dialog

32 bit windows 7. I did man. Seems to install it but can't find the program. No icon on the bottom-right. No exe file. Nothing. There is uninstall and licence files though. Lucky me.

maybe..... could it be a driver problem??? do u believe i need to delete and reinstall all LG drivers??????

i tried to install V21A again, but i got the same problem i had with V20B...
