bought the usb otg today. usb mouse and usb gamepad 100% works on my mini pro on stock .58 rom and kernel.

too bad mini pro doesnt support hdmi tv out :p

i have a little complain, the mouse cursor speed should be a little faster.
and the 'O' (Circle) button of the gamepad are originally mapped as a back button is annoying.

i cant map the O circle button to any buttons with the gamekeyboard app.

i hope someone can fix or modify the drivers of mini pro to make the cursor speed a little faster

Tried it with this gamepad

But got this message. 'power consumption error, the USB use too much power'

Any solution?

Tried it with ps2 to USB converter without the ps2 controller being plug on yet, the same message appear.

I think I got the idea and solution, only ics Rom can use usb controller with 'analog'.

Tried it with my USB gamepad without analog its working.

I think I need to wait to update to ics, so the controller will can be use and fully connected without the annoying error message

Hi Izzy
As an idea you could use a USB hub with external power or a dual usb cable one end goes to the USB OTG cable/adapter and another end to another usb power like a usb battery or charger.

good idea.

btw im on ics, the usb otg functions doesnt worked well.

ics doesnt recognized my twin usb gamepad like gb recognized it before.

using a mouse on ics is a nightmare.

usually
left click->touch
right click->back button
middle click->menu button

but on ics
left click->touch
right click->touch
middle click->touch

its horrible. looks like other ics users like galaxy note and others has this problem as well.

but scrolling still worked as the usual.

As urra901109, I put the usbotg.apk from GB .69 at my ICS. I have root and busybox installed, and I'm using Rage Kernel. << Not sure what is need to use USB OTG.

With a homemade USB OTG cable and the app "[root] StickMount" by Chainfire I'm using my Kingston pen drive (8GB) normally.

PS: I'm using Xperia Mini ST15i

EDIT: My USB OTG function works after install BusyBox by Stephen (Stericson) from Play.

I use USB StORAGE MANAGER FOR ARC From The play store, with busybox and rooted, on stock kernel, it worked when I was on GB 2.3.4 and is working now that I'm on ICS 4.0.4 both officials, and a Usb OTG cable by nokia :p

Is there any way to use a software hack to avoied the "power consumption error"??

I am asking because my stick works if i put it in a NON-POWERED hub and doesn't work if I put it directly in the phone.

    how to browse files of my usb drive on mobile..?
    I m using xperia mini pro with 2.3.4 android version default settings

    you need to be rooted(i think):D to perform the next task..
    1. enable R/W to your phone's root directory using "root explorer" or other apps.
    2. open Q5>select block device>choose your flashdrive.. usually denoted as sda or sda 1
    3. press on mount file system.. the drive should be mounted now..
    4. the mounted flash drive folder can be accessed in /usb_drive.

    what about using the usb otg to a usb gamepad on my mini pro. will it work?

    Depends on the gamepad and phone's functions. Might work on some games.

    EDIT: Checked mini pro white paper, USB OTG is not listed there, so officialy support seems to be missing.
