Includes all the Google apps are not in the rom ----> WARNING ---> read below.

Unfortunately due to lack of space in the / system package is not installed so I'm trying to solve with a custom rom ready with at least the main app like Google Playstore.

I made a custom rom with basic applications such as installation of Google when you first start, the market PlayStore google search and disregarding the other because of the limited space we have in the system.
I managed to move some apps that were in system / app data / app recovering some space now we have just about 18 Mb. While about 50 mb for the app still available.
Better than that for the moment I could not do.

Thanks for your Work

I've been using your rom since Ver 3 and thank you for your contribution.
It has been running pretty well so far but the phone gets slow at times. Probably due to all the programs I put on it.

I have noticed one problem....not sure why it happens. It occurred in the other 2 versions also.
The stock launcher get replaced by Nova or Trebuchet on its own. I go to settings and there is no way to remove the default launcher.
I even used Home Switcher and right now Launcher disappeared on its own...no longer listed in apps or anywhere else. I'll try to get more info if you need it.

You mention CWM ver 6 in your instructions but I have not found it for this phone anywhere. I'm using 4.0.4 now.
Do you recommend the ver 6? If so where can it be downloaded from?

Once again, thank you. I'll keep on flashing and give the ROM a good test.

Thanks for the mention. :) I now have a customer running this ROM.

Setting Debug-> BC 4330/20780 to "Enable" and reboot the phone if any problem may also help.

The latest free version of Spirit FM is always at the top here: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1059296

Not yet posted, but August 14 and later versions should automatlcally set Audio-> Method and the BC 4330...

"Region Band ----> EUROPE" is only for Europe of course. Default is North America.

"Output Device ----> Headset" isn't needed.

"Output Mode ----> blend Auto": does this enable stereo ? The free version is usually Mono, but I may change that.

No sd-ext found

I've had this issue several times while running BETA 5:
I noticed it when doing a backup from CWM.
Also, at times some apps that were moved to the SDCard give error "app not installed".
Rebooting seems to fix the issue with apps missing sometimes.
This somehow seems related to moving apps to SD.....but I'm not experienced enough to be sure.
I have manually created the partitions from CWM and reflashed Beta 5 and the issue still occurs.
I bought a new SD card and installed it yesterday....same problem.

Not sure if this is related to this ROM, my phone U8652, or something I'm doing wrong.

There was also an issue with the launcher that I posted about earlier. I'm running Nova this time and so far that is okay.

Thanks for the link to CWM 6....its installed and working fine on my phone.

CM9 and 10

I'm still running CM9 and it is doing fairly well. The camera issue is already known but I have a few issues with my phone freezing/crashing/rebooting at times.

I've tried to retrieve error logs but they contain no info on the crashes. When using droid explorer to view logs gives the following message:

logcat
sh-4.1# logcat
Unable to open log device '/dev/log/main': No such file or directory

Log Collector is not much better:

Log Collector version: 1.1.0
Device model: u8650
Firmware version: 4.0.4
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-perf
Ivan@LiGux )
#4 PREEMPT Thu Aug 9 18:49:17 CEST 2012
Build number: cm_u8650-eng 4.0.4 IMM76L eng.luca.20120811.155036 test-keys

Neither is any help. Is there another way to gather info on crashes and other problems?

The ROM generally runs well, even with a lot of apps installed and working the phone pretty hard.

CM 10 sounds great. Looking forward to giving it a try. Thanks.

Beta 5 is running smoothly on my Prism except for the Capacitive Buttons that refuse to Light Up. Anyone here is facing the same issue and is there a work around for it ?

Thanks

hi,

i have beta 5, and it is great. But im using in my Huawei Ideos X3 (U8510) since the roms are compatible each other. But the phone is way too slow, now that i have my apps installed. The launcher takes more than 5 sec to appear if i leave an app. Can something be done in order to improve performance?

... Ext. Audio (90%), better incall Audio and Headset Audio.

Using Beta 5, and i'm really satisfied with ROM, but - InCall audio is still too low...(is loud when on speakerppfone or handsfree). External (back side) & headphone (plugged in) audio is loud and awesome in any way. How to increase InCall Audio volume more? I tried looking in build.props, but no luck or i missed it.

TNX

P.S. ES FileExplorer won't work in Root mode (Settings > Root settings > Root Explorer) - I enable it, su gives root permission (says granted), and then "Sorry, test failed, this feature cannot run on your phone"
