Hi.
I've been trying to root my phone, Samsung Galaxy S5830 (not plus or Ace 2), I downloaded many root files and nothing worked, I used universal_gb_root_v25.zip, It shows Installation complete in CWM but the Superuser App doesn't show up. Also in Root Checker it says No proper root access. What to do ?

I have tried all the tutorials on XDA :p including these popular ones,

http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1034145

Is it a firmware problem ?

Electrifying
U should use stock recovery to root stock rom. But if u r looking to flash a custom rom, then u don't need root. Flash custom rom directly via cwm.:)

Flash your stock firmware back using odin through Download Mode. Make sure to backup all the necessary data before that. Goto Recovery Mode and install Root and then CWM. Finally reboot and you are good to go. Now flash any custom rom you want. Hope I Helped :)

Hi adnaanbheda,

Use this file, you can flash it with stock, CWM or TWRP recovery.
