Let me chip in on this one with my experiences from having lived with the phone for a couple of days now.
Wifi first: it does seem to have less reception compared to my old SGS2. I have two wifi nets at home (don't ask) and before I was able to receive the one from the first floor on the ground floor. Not so much now. I wouldn't call it bad reception, but it's just not as good as what I was used to.
As for the rest of the phone: my initial reaction was that it is big! Then holding it, I found it to be manageable and it actually does fit in the front pockets of my jeans. Probably the rounded corners and thinness of the phone. And it feels really solid, proper high-end.
I did notice that the black parts on the side (such as on the flaps) scuff easily, so I had to change pockets in order to not have the phone with my keys and pocket knife (= sharp bits).
I'm blessed with a display without yellow-hue issue and reasonable viewing angles. It's not the best screen, but it'll do (I'm not annoyed by it). It is sharp and I really like the nuances in color the screen produces unlike the AMOLED I've been using for over 2 years now. Speaker is sufficiently loud; for my music I rely on either headphones or the BTX300 NFC speakerbox I got with the preorder (which works and sounds great btw!).
Battery life too is great for me, but then again, the SGS2 gave me about 1 hour of screen time on a charge (less than half a day of medium use). Probably any new phone would have been a massive improvement for me.
All in all, I'm very pleased so far. Let's hope that continues!
