[Q] Distortion on boot with Cyanogen

Search This thread
I followed leapinlar's instructions from here: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2062613 going from root/unknown sources on stock to a full CyanogenMod install. I've been using my Nook HD+ for a few months now, and haven't noticed any real problems, but one minor annoyance is some very minor distortion when I boot up.

It starts on the Nook boot screen, but then shows some distortion on the right side before going to the CyanogenMod universal bootloader.
Is there any way to fix this? And/or skip the universal bootloader?

Thanks.

That distortion is part of the cyanoboot image. And you cannot skip the image as it is part of the process that breaks the encription from B&N.

Could anyone explain why the flash appears in a bit detail ? just out of interest

read trough here

haven't really done anything with uboot ever, but might be stopping/flushing the framebuffer for the other image to load.
I think since this is only a cosmetic issue, it could be fixed but it doesn't really bother anyone of the devs.
I really hope we can count on verygreen to maintain kernel code in the future, that's the thing that really bothers me.
I wish I'd have enough time and the right job and previous knowledge to learn stuff he knows...
