Why has the option to control music play/pause while the screen is off via camera button disappeared?

Model: LG Optimus V (VM670)
ROM:[ROM+Kernel] MiRaGe-CM7.2-IHO (04152013)

There is only one ROM download, use that one. The conversion patches are not necessary for VM.

Question Optimus S flashing

hi all
i've only flashed 1 ROM previously, so i'd just like to confirm the procedure for flashing an LS670...

1) nandroid backup
2) i'm using a custom ROM now (Dante), so i'll need to flash to stock first
3) wipe caches
4) format /boot, /cache and /system
5) flash ROM
6) flash S patch
7) done...

look good?

seems like allot of folks really like this ROM and i'm anxious to give it a spin, especially since it's a CM fork and free of the garbage

any feedback from Optimus S users would be appreciated, especially anyone who has experience with DanteRom since it seems like a good one too

EDIT...

whoops - forgot to ask about the baseband - i'm on ZVJ so do i need to convert?
and if so, at what point?

You need to boot once after flashing the ROM and before flashing the patch since this is the first time. Only ZVD is know to be working, I am not sure if ZVJ is okay.

For some reason, every time I flash this rom/kernel, I get touch input errors. For example, on a keyboard, if I hit D, after my finger leaves the screen it will act as though I also hit, for example, U and then W. I've been using BobHome's ICS roms, and they don't have the problem at all. I'm wondering if changing the kernel would help? Kind of at a loss, though I really prefer CM7.
Slim ICS is great!

Never heard such a problem before. If there is no hardware problem, I can't think of anything other than some settings from the previous ROM causing problem. I would only recommend a clean wipe before flashing again.

hmm. mine is freezing after loading the rom. I did load the verizon package as well. Will try again with just the base rom first and boot up.

ok looks like if you flash the base rom first, boot up then put on the verizon patch on next reboot it works.

once you are on this rom are you no longer able to connect via DFS or cdma workshop? I am unable to load a PRL or anything and can't connect to the phone through LGNPST or DFS.

The boot requirement before VZW patch is in the OP already. You can also try QPST when the phone is in recovery.
