Somehow, the previous botched OTA update to .22 disabled the OTA functionality altogether on my unit; when checking under Settings, my unit reported it was on .21 firmware, but an update check reported there were no updates available for my device. I downloaded the WW firmware file, put in on the root directory of the microSD card and flashed the entire hubbub . (I do find these stock recoveries lacking in both functionality (no backup facility) and ergonomics (first having to hit the power button while getting no hint, just seeing a dead Andy), but I managed.
)
I'm now running .22.
Just two small observations to reiterate for new readers:
1) The update made me lose root, although I had OTA Rootkeeper. Not a big deal, since just re-running the scripted DebugFS will reinstate root access. But....
2) After running DebugFS, install Superuser from the Play Store, and open it manually. You will not get the access prompts otherwise and the programs depending on it (like Titanium Backup, amongst others) will NOT function correctly, if at all.
I cannot say if the update has brought significant improvements so far. It's been too short to tell, and the main update seems to have in regard several fairly basic application updates (which I had performed previously via the Play Store anyway). Time will tell. Aloha, JB!
