if u have CWM and u have rooted ur pad and u have an olivepad & it came with 2.2 & NOT ITE hardware YES the above rom works :D
u can try the last one its new custome rom and real good. It has apps2sd so u will have enough space on ur phone storage as all apps will be installed on ur SD but u need to have Ext partition done for this which u can do via CWM

Assuming that I have done everything (rooting and loading CWM) correctly I'm going ahead with the ROMs suggested by you (VPAD7_signed.zip).

Shall keep this post updated on my success (or failure)

Flashed my phone with the souped up Froyo.. and it works perfectly (well almost)

The stock browser keeps FCing.. Didn't look much into it, but methinks next time b4 flashing any ROM i'll get rid of the browser.apk from the zip file and maybe replace it with Opera Mini..

Will be testing the EU Viewpad ROM shortly..

Shall keep updating..

(PS: Hari, was reading hereabouts regarding Lakehousetech's work with 2.3.4 on VT100. Will the OCd kernel be able to handle it?? Also I was planning to go in for another phone (maybe a 5/7 incher). Could you suggest to me any models which will not have hassles porting all the way to HC)

Everything seems to have gone well but there is a screen that keeps popping up saying

yes i had the same problem.do a full factory/data wipe & wipe delvi cache(do this for any new rom u flash to avoid problems)
and then flash the rom u wont get the problem.it worked for me :)

Thanks Hari and Zost.. I am doing the complete wipe now and will be flashing the ROM subsequently.

I have only one query in mind.

I was going through the Tech Specs of the Reliance 3G Tab and found that they have managed to port Android 2.3 onto it.. Anyway the same can be ported onto the VT-100 too??

if reliance is using the same source as our Pad may be
why not give this info in amalgmations thread with links to the details u are taking about im sure he would try and do it:)

give details what are u trying to do
u need to
1. root the phone
2.install CWM
make sure to take a Nand backup of ur orignal rom once u have installed this
3.take any one of the cooked roms put it on the root of ur phone and
install it as an update zip

i have give links for all of the above kindly read do the needful and ask for help and u will get it :D

Hello ,
I bought this Tablet and it looks alright ,I think it may some variant of viewpad 7.It has Qualcomm 800 processor with adreno cpu .I was able to root with gingerbreak but not able flash CWM gives out of memory error with adb.Any help, sorry if I posted in wrong section

pls re chek and look around i dont this this is for ur tab as ur has a 800Mhz and specs are different.I would advise u to look around and not to take the risk of using the above given as they are for olivpad VT100 and other variants:D

i think urs is the same as the new reliance tab available in India

i recently rooted my olivepad vt100 using superuser but when tried installing CWM recovery via ROM manager it restarted. And now it is stuck in bootloop....i ve tried entering recovery mode but it dosnt.
i used da method u mentioned in the 1st post to enter recovery mode but all it does is show enter recovery mode on top left of the screen n den reboots.

PLease help!!

for me superuser did not work only the gingerbreak worked for me
sorry im not a techie i just provided all the info for those who wanted to use
u can try getting the sutl and the orignal rom and relflash the rom via the sut recover ur pad and try the same as in link one give
sorry i dont have the sut or the orignal rom so u need to search and find it

    recently got an Olivepad VT-100 and got it rooted and clockwork Mod installed on the same and also backed up my rom .
    So For those who have been struggling to get the same done like me here is a simple guide

    1. Get to know that The Olivepad VT - 100 is the same as
    these Models : Viewpad 7 Cherry Mobile Superion, Commtiva Linx N700, Spice MI700, and Camangi FM600( found this out the hard way)

    the superoneclick did not work for me so for those who have the same problem
    take ginger break APK from attached install it on ur Olive pad and bang it works with one click:D
    IT worked for me :D

    Note : i did not use ADB for the commands as im not comfy with the same
    i used Terminal emulator from the Pad for the commands

    update : i also tried re flashing my nand backup via CWM it worked fine for me


    This worked for me as i was willing to take the risk
    so remember the risk is always yours and im not responsible if you brick ur phone or anything

    Important : on rooting & getting CWM 1st do a Nand backup of ur original Stock rom before trying to flash any rom.So u are always safe & can go back to ur stock Rom

    if u successfully root & get the CWM installed u can do a nand back up and restore the same but when u root u have the risk of loosing ur warranty:)

    but to my knowledge if u re install the OS and re install ur original image
    u need to backup ur oringal via ADB or termemulator pls read lakehousetech thread for details i have given the link in the 1st page
    u can do this via terminal emulator or ADB & remove the superuser
    i dont think the service guys go all that deep in checking if u have rooted and if u dont have the super user on ur pad i Dont thing they will find out u have rooted ur pad . this is as per my experience in India with my phone

    the risk is always yours Kindly note im not responsible for any issues u get into with your Pad
