Have you had a look at these stickies before you started?
followed this guide for example is prepping you to flash custom ROMs for the time being:

now, if you followed that guide, then download Insert Coin 5.0.0, once it has finished downloading double click on the .zip file and it opens up displaying the boot.img
copy this boot.img into the folder "Fastboot" you created accordiong to the guide on C: and ensure there is only the boot.img from the 5.0.0. in there
boot your One X into fastboot, connect it to the computer, make sure it says fastboot USB, then open up a CMD window (as discribed in above guide)
and type cd c:\fastboot
and then fastboot flash boot boot.img
after that boot the One X into CWM and select the 5.0.0.zip, then install that with a full wipe (unless you were already on the 4.0.0) follow the instruction on screen and Voila!
Make sure that your One X's battery is minimum charged up to 75%
In case you took another way with ADB ect then put the boot.img to where those files are stored according to instructions in first post.
