Is there some setting I'm missing (besides turning NFC on)?

I'm on Malladus 2.0.2. Would post there but I don't have enough posts to be considered a "developer."

I'm using universal tags which I have verified to be working via my Nexus 7.

I tried a dirty reflash to no avail. Next step would be clean flash but I'd like to avoid that if possible.

Funny, I just saw this and tried out my VS980 (also running Malladus 2.0.2, clean-flashed last week) on a couple known-good NFC stickers around my office....and nothing.

I double-checked my settings, rebooted, and still nothing. I also don't have enough posts to comment directly in the Malladus thread yet (what a dumb rule...) so if anyone else has encountered this please post there for us!

Glad that it isn't just me. I do believe that I successfully used NFC while running Malladus 1.? but generally don't use NFC enough to have a useful set of data.

I have since clean flashed an ASOP ROM and still have no NFC capability. Unless there are other suggestions, I guess a factory reset would be my next option?
