Don't hold power. From the phone being powered off, hold volume up then plug in the usb - pressing power causes problems - i.e. the phone will keep on rebooting, because that's what happens when you press power and volume up.

Also can someone upload a kernel.sin? Trying to download the swedish root files but theres no bandwith left for the uploader so I'll flash SuperSU as soon as this is back up and I can figure out where to get a kernel.sin file. Any help pleasE?

Thanks. All I need now is the recovery img.. Can someone mirror it?

EDIT: I have a file called system_new.img which should be the root file for Norway. Could I just run "fastboot flash system_new.img" and have a rooted phone?
EDIT2: Or run "fastboot flash CWM-SuperSU-v0.89.zip" and have a rooted phone?

Just noticed the SuperSU method is not for .73 FW...

Solved. Flashed advanced stock kernel. Time to connect a ps3 controller, game on :D

Help please!

Hey guys,

I flashed the recovery to my phone, and it kept restarting to recovery as it said.
Then I tried to go into fastboot again to flash the kernel, but it wouldn't go into fastboot.
I tried a combination of vol. up and power, then suddenly my phone turned off.
NOW, it wouldn't even turn on!! Nothing! not even a light!

I hope I haven't bricked it!

I hope someone can help!

Press vol up+power for 10-15 sec until you get 3 vibrations and try again.
Did you have enough battery level before doing this?

Yes I tried:
vol up + Power
vol down + Power
(in fact every possible combo)

- Yes I had more than 50% battery, but I might have left the phone on recovery for quite some time in order to download required files; and then I kept trying to go into fastboot but couldn't. THen suddenly the phone is dead.

I thought that it could be the battery, I tried recharging for 20 mins but nothing happened. Not even the recharging light turned on.

What if my battery drained before I could flash the kernel, do you think this has bricked it?

PS: I even took apart the phone, removed the battery and replaced it back... still nothing :/

Team FreeXperia would like to present you the very first full working recovery system for the Xperia S aka Nozomi aka LT26!

    Notice:
    For unlocked bootloaders only!!

Also this is ONLY RECOVERY for now! You cannot boot the actual system with it!
We will create a recovery for stock booting later! For now enjoy this.

    Howto:
    https://rapidshare.com/files/628034582/recovery-nozomi.img
2.) Flash it to phone with command:
    Code:
    fastboot flash boot recovery-nozomi.img

After that your phone will now always boot into recovery!

To boot again normal Rom you have to flash the stock Sony kernel.sin (can be found in ANY Rom ftf, just extract ftf as zipfile)

    Reflash stock Rom:
    Code:
    fastboot flash boot kernel.sin

This Recovery is ported to our device by Defer, Jerpelea and Bin4ry.

    Have fun with it :)

    Code:
    fastboot boot recovery-nozomi.img

i think it's will be more quick...and don't need to flash the KERNEL.sin after :)

thanks for ALL your WORK

Sadly this is not implemented in Sonys bootloader :-(

The same question again: what did you do to work around the bootloader bug?

We will tell later when Rom is released ;)
