Hi, I've tried using the HTC transfer tool and SMS backup+ but for some reason I can't transfer any SMS messages from my galaxy s4 to my HTC m8. How can I do it?

are you trying to restore your messages with your backup on your microsd card? if so then try transferring the backup to the phone's onboard storage and try restoring again.
Try sms backup and restore worked for me from Note 3 to m8
i use the same app and it's always worked flawlessly. but I'm very curious as to what the issue with his restoring attempts could be.
