thanks for the nice update! now running the updated comfortaa - feels good!

found a couple of posts you did in this thread that you might incorporate into your first post:
http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=8710384&postcount=237
http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=8713378&postcount=241
http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=8975223&postcount=329
http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=8540183&postcount=136
http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=8509032&postcount=80
this stuff helped me in getting a secure feeling how to do stuff, preparations, precautions, etc.

i'd also suggest re-writing the first post to get rid of history and clear things up a bit - but of course that's up to you ;) (if you like i can send you a rewrite-proposal via PM)
personally i'm not really interested in the star-rating you offer (no offense) but it would be interesting to know if the font is a heavy font (hand times) or if a font does come in bold or not.

No worries, I'm certainly open to suggestions - shoot me a pm with what you have in mind:). Some of those links are no longer valid though (like you shouldn't need the latest version of RA or clockwork anymore), and thanks for the input on the stars - those are a carryover from before I had the screenshots going, and I wasn't sure if they still served a purpose.

One Zip file containing all fonts

Hi,

If anyone needs all the fonts mentioned in posts 1 and 2 put into a single zip file, let me know. I don't know if i can post the link here without the approval of the thread owner.

You can also point out other fonts that i can add to this mega font zip file.

Cheers

Update - Here is the link to the zip file containing all the fonts.

Is it easy to import this freeware font? Thnx

Sure - here you go. Haven't tested it on my phone yet, but its a nice font - thanks for the tip. I'll update it to the main collection in the next update.

FontPack-Unispace.zip

edit - just tried it on my phone. It's too big and cuts off in the app drawer, so I'm not going to add it to the main collection. Too bad too, it was a nice futuristic looking font.

i starred this issue over at the android-project: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=4547
the app Font Size (for root users) has been mentioned in this thread and elsewhere to resize fonts. but it seems to cause trouble for some so i wouldn't deem it as reliable for everday/noob/failsafe-usage (YMMV though).
it would be a nice extension to android to provide a setting to adjust the overall system font size! </offtopic>

I starred it awhile ago myself. You would think that as an accessibility issue, it would get more attention, but no. I'm hoping it will be addressed in gingerbread, although I doubt it will.

And I tried the font size app, and some people have had no issues with it, but yeah, it killed my phone. Constant reboots after changing all fonts to Japanese. Had to restore a nand backup to fix it.

Is there anyway to know by some notation you may have made which fonts have the bold option so mail will be lighter once read and not stay bold?

You can look at the screenshots to check the bolding, and once downloaded you can open the zip to the actual TTF files to see if the bold is really the bold version of the font.

In my day to day usage though, I haven't noticed an issue with any of the fonts, simply because both gmail and the built-in mail app use other indicators like color and shading to differentiate read from unread.
