Sorry. Like I said, I have no idea what changes you need to make to the smali.

You can edit the XML in the drawable folder to change the rate at which the battery icon updates. If you don't want it to change every 1% , you can set it to change every 5% or every 10% or anything you want.

Hm... I remember that I changed my statusbar to transparent... What smali files do you have that is named something like statusbar?

Time for me to teach you something Mr. Ticklefish! :)

The smali to change is StatusBarService.smali. This line const/4 v5, 0x2 is supposed to be const/4 v5, -0x3 to recieve transparency.
That line is, in the ROMs I have seen, right above this line: invoke-direct/range {v0 .. v5}, Landroid/view/WindowManager$LayoutParams;-><init>(IIIII)V.

I've never had any issue deleting lines from public.xml. What's the issue you're having?

    For Mini/Mini Pro/Active/Live stock ROM

    AVAILABLE MOD

    • 15 toggle lidroid's Quickpanel added "reboot into fastboot and CWM" in Reboot Button
    • Brightness controll bar (plz download SystemUI-with-bar.zip)
    • Stop foreground app via long-Back
    • Swipe clear notification
    • Reboot options (normal, fastboot, clockworkmod)
    • CRT screen off animation
    • [NEW]30steps volume
    • [NEW]smooth scrolling
    • [NEW]the lockscreen layout and the looks changed
    Flashlight toggle fully works (camera problem fixed), and 2G-3G toggle added. thanks to hansip87.
    "Quickpanel" is ported from here and thanks to lidroid !
    "Brightness controll bar", "Stop app via long-press Back" and "Swipe clear notification" are ported from ThGo2 on x10.
    "Reboot options" is ported from here and "reboot into cwm" thanks to Black_jackss.
    "CRT screen off" thanks to japanese user.
    "30 steps volume" and "smooth scrolling" guide is in here.

    This lidroid QuickPanel has scrollable 15 toggles (and brightness bar). you can custimize order.
    If you long-tap each icon, you'll go to each setting panel.
    "Fixed" button is disable slider. NOT disable automatic brightness control.
    these icons are based on MIUI Black Ice theme.

    [ATTENTION]
    • reboot option in statusbar doesn't work only SystemUI.apk (to be accurate, "fastboot" works, but "clockworkmod" doesn't work). It's need to install framework-res.apk, android.policy.jar and framework.jar
    • brightness bar and brightness toggle will conflict. If you use brightness bar version, you sholdn't use brightness toggle.
    If you apply this mod, don't forget take a backup ! ;)
    You can use CWM to install this mod :D
    or you can install manually with file manager.
    [How to install using file manager (e.g. root explorer)]
    1. put files to "/system"
    2. change the permission rw-r--r--
    3. move each file to correct directory("/system/app" or "/system/framework")
    4. reboot your phone

    I did just porting these mods, so i cannot add new function. sorry:(
