Sense 3.5 are heavy Roms for desire z. Since are sense 4 Roms smoother than this more users,uses sense 4a. If you want a smooth sense 3.5 Rom you have to moderate it with supercharger swap uninstalling unused apps using Rom cleaner. Sorry for saying that but I was able to flash Rom anytime when a dev release one. I figure out that ARHD 7.0.4 is the most stable 3.5 Rom.

@masterismos, I'm not sure I get the rest but from every single Sense 4.0A ROM I've tried they've always lagged a bit. _Even_ when uninstalling all the unnecessary apps and changing the Sense launcher to Nova or GO Launcher EX (not sure if things like Supercharger were configured, though).

The number one reason people are using them is _not_ because they are fast (which is not even the case). It's because they are _new_.

Download this and geny R3 sense 4a install the same apps and check the multitask or better check when Roms are syncing. Look which Rom is laging.
And sure the No1 reason is because are new

well well well... after a couple of weeks of trying some different, newer roms (AOSP, CM10, Sense 4.1, etc), i am once more returning to my back up of this rom... seriously, what a great rom this is!!

Are you using it on a Desire Z? It's the opposite of smoothness; lags in the app drawer, on the homescreen when swiping and in the settings menu. I am using a HTC Desire Z with a swap of 256mb and a 8gb class 10 sd card.

Yes, on a Desire Z, no swap, only supercharged... i have no lag anywhere... its very smooth for me... i use only one widget, and have frozen lots of apps which i dont ever use, and have no lag at all, anywhere... apps open in a snap, transitions are smooth, its even better than the stock sense 2.1... And OC'ed to 998Mhz conservative governor...

You guys still using this ROM ? Hehe

I recently loaded it up on my old mytouch4g and it could use a few improvements. Maybe I'll do an update on it. It's old.. but it's reliable. :)

Of course man!! its one of the best roms out there!! It would be great to see an update! and nicer still if u could do it with a sense 4.0A!!

    Welcome to the RCMix Energized edition ROM thread !


    This development thread is for the official RCMix blue, energized custom firmware series for the HTC Desire Z !

    I build my ROMs with four main goals.
    • Eye candy ( I want my ROM to look great and for it to all flow together nicely)
    • Speed !!!
    • Smoothness, consistency and good aesthetics
    • Stability through private beta testing before public release
    I preconfigure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go. So, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set. Doing it this way, makes for a nice ROM that's ready out of the box.
