How do users type when viewing in Portrait or Landscape mode while holding the device? I can't do thumb-typing since the device is too wide even on Portrait mode.
How do you thumb type on the 10.1 2014 and possibly 12.2?

i switched to that a while back since it's more responsive than the stock samsung kb and far more customizable.
there's a kb switch app in the thems & apps section that allows you to automatically switch to the stock when you pull out the spen so you can still have hw recognition.
By "floating KB", do you mean a very small keyboard on the screen? I came across it while testing the device in a store.
I found the keys a bit too small.
The Floating Keyboard's great. You can use the swipe feature with S Pen and it's probably the fastest method of text entry. The only downside is that you have to move it around to keep it from covering content you're looking at or text entry boxes.
