Push Samsung to release Exynos Source Code! [Update 25.11.13]

Will Samsung loose you as a customer if they don`t release the Source Code?

Samsung phones are perfect for me, but main disadvantage is ****ing source codes... -_-

Xperia Z is good phone but i hate 1920x1080 resolution on mobile phones, i have that resolution on my computer, 1280x720 was perfect.. Xperia Z have an old poor TFT display, what's with super amoled?! my friend have Xperia Pro wich also have TFT display and it's ****... my s2 superamoled+ display blow off poor TFT... and price, in america is ~650e wich means that price in my country is ~850e and that is 4 montly payments in my country...

What do you guys think about trading s2 for galaxy nexus?
Major disadvantages of galaxy nexus for me are: no microsd card slot and 5mpx camera

You are that kind of people who wants to have always right. .. ok. Do you feel better? Buy a nexus next time! I want too the drivers for samsung, but is become to much popular so samy never release this. Is always for security reasons. .

Well your choice, I still want to go to xz because it has been two years, so perfect timing.

Display of xz not that bad for me, but fyi the samsung have a oversaturated color and xz produce more accurate color

I'll make little off-topic by asking you guys if the source code is available for the new HTC One? It uses Chipset Qualcomm APQ8064T Snapdragon 600,
CPU Quad-core 1.7 GHz Krait 300, GPU Adreno 320. I like it very much, but I like flashing too :)

The S4 is due in March and you know you phone whores will be hankering for one, with its Exynos 5 Octa chip, 3gig DDR3 and 4.8" screen, you'll love a bit of it!

It's rumoured to have Snapdragon 600, and LPDDR3 (Low power) only 2Gig, for you info, 3isn't coming any soon, not before Q4 2013. 4.99inch screen, you got every detail wrong xD. I'd say, let's not predict a device, Samsung's becoming another apple, hope they don't. Sony releases source code and listen to devs because it matters to them, a little part of users matter to em, for Samsung we're about 1-2% of users, they don't care, they've to maintain number 1 position, so they have different policies.

    The experimental Build with the new exynos sources works fine on the S3 and improves on graphics related stuff. There are some things that are broken but I hope those issues can be ironed out.

    Samsung dropped an insignal Update for the Exynos 4412 devices which can be used with AOSP. It's hard to implement but thanks to the brilliant developers at XDA there is hope. Check this out from the Omni Thread:

    The Test build is going to be for the I9300 but since the S2 has an almost identical SoC it's not far behind if everything works out for the I9300. It's great news and that's what we need :)

    This thread is the equivalent to the one in the SIII Forums and not my idea. AntonLiv92 started the thread to inform people where they can write personal concerns to Samsung, so they will release the source code and proper documentation for Exynos based devices and as you probably all know our SII is based on Samsung`s Exynos 4210 processor.

    This thread will inform you people where to contact Samsung, so that we get their attention or as codeworkx said:

    So our goal is to get Samsung`s attention by writing as many concerns as possible of missing source code to Samsung. Of course it`s also important what you write, so it`s not just a big noob campaign asking for the Source Code. Codeworkx made a list of what is needed:

    I didn't thought that I would ever update this thread after Samsung screwed us yet again but there is hope now. Samsung released an Insignal update of their Exynos Sources and it is something that devs can actually use with AOSP although it is really hard to implement. What good comes from it? If everything goes well, a working hw-composer and even tv-out.
