Continued issues with charging from the wall.

Reflashing the ROM worked first for three days. So I just reflashed it yesterday. I had Pandora playing last night while it was plugged in and charging. This morning it stopped charging and won't connect via wall again.

I'm going to try flashing another ROM to see what's what. But if anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please let me know, I really like GOv2.

Sorry. Wish I could help. I've been running this ROM for months and have never had any charging problem. I'm going to be reflashing it soon because it hasn't been running right ever since I tried to apply the super charger script to it.

New to GOv5

I previously had v2 on my phone, but have moved up to v5 here. I like it quite a bit, but I'm having a little issue. My phone isn't producing sound for notifications. When I go to select a ring tone or notification sound, it doesn't play them automatically (to hear before selection) either. My phone does ring when I get a call though.. so.. I'm sort of confused. I'm going to play around with it when I get home, but the chance of a response would certainly be nice. ^..^

Your using the worng link (rickandroid was the last to update this Phone use his roms)
Most of the roms are dead
All apps have been dead (no apps run on typically Gingerbread) and most now require a 4.0+ to run

I'd doubt there will be any development on these forums.
Most were Unable to port Android version 2.3 and up

The last of 2.3 remains unfinished with no connections (you can't do anything but turn on and off) no data no wifi.

This is where the sidekick died.

Reflash the ROM, should be that simple.

For all its worth, I can confirm this is still working today and with active service via T-Mobile prepaid. Calls, messaging, Data and wifi all functioning albeit the data only @ 2G speeds. Most play store apps and apk's still function but must be an older version made for 2.2. Still flawless when optimized to potential.

    Install Instructions

Instructions - NOTHING NEW, if you know the drill then go ahead and install.

    - Put zip file in your /sdcard
    - Reboot into cwm recovery
    - Wipe Data/Factory Reset
    - Wipe Cache Partition

(Optional but recommended to prevent any minor issues)-Wipe Dalvik Cache from advanced menu in CWM

*Now before you Flash, Only if you are on the orange CWM, (Not RED voodoo CWM from Bali) if on red CWM ignore the mounts/unmount part*
MAKE SURE YOUR MOUNTS LOOK LIKE THIS: (Go to mounts and storage from CWM recovery)

    UNMOUNT CACHE
    MOUNT DATA
    MOUNT SDCARD
UNMOUNT SYSTEM - this is the ONLY mount you pay mind to, not Sdcard or anything else

    - Now its safe to Flash the .zip

(AGAIN IGNORE UNLESS IF YOU ARE ON A RED VOODOO RECOVERY) after you flash, go back to mounts and storage and make sure your mounts look like this

    UNMOUNT CACHE
    MOUNT DATA
    UNMOUNT SDCARD
    UNMOUNT SYSTEM

(Optional but recommended)-Wipe Cache then Wipe Dalvik Cache from advanced menu in CWM before Rebooting.

(To First Time installers, System Needs to be set to Unmount, though it would really be mounted. If you do Not do this you will have a softbrick and will have to ODIN to stock and start all over ....) Once you have Flashed a Custom ROM or Bali 2.2 Kernel you dont have to worry about mounts

AFTER THE ROM BOOTS, i Recommend letting it sit for about 5 mins without use so cache and stuff builds back up, then log into google from gmail/market or someway, let google sync for 5 mins then reboot again. then you will have your Sidekick 4G in the best state its ever been ;)
