I wanted to test it out so I made a zip, and a nandroid. I wiped all my data and tried to restore my apps with my zip. File and everything worked but it took forever for the first boot to complete.. So far I'm finding it quicker to do it from within the app.. But I'll try it out a few more times on different roms to see what results I get

I just did this as I had to replace my SII and the backup wasn't recognizing any of my apps. Zip file was really quick and I got all my data but I had to install them individually after flashing. Was there a quicker way?

Back up the apps without app data.

Get App2zip from the market it backs up data apps and system apps. Flash it in cwm recovery. Or look up clockwork combiner its nice it combines multiple zips into one zip that you flash in recovery saving you time because everything you need is all in one zip.

Great feature. I have pro licenses for RTB and TB since they were on discount. I go between the two since each has features that I like in particular. Some people like an all-in-one solution but I'm fine with them both.
