HDMI Enabled HBO GO

So I recently got HBO and was disappointed to see that the HBO GO app didn't support HDMI out. I thought this strange since I had never seen anything else that didn't support HDMI out, so you would think HBO would be able to figure it out if everyone else did. I looked around to see if there was an update or patch or something to fix it, but wasn't able to find anything. I'm not a programmer or anything but I figured why not take a shot at it myself. So I read a few tutorials and here's what I came up with. httpsCOLON//wwwDOTdropboxDOTcom/s/zlyfr07gg5p58p2/com.HDMI-HBO-1.apk. I have a Droid 4, so I know it works on Motorola phones. I think it should work on all other phones too, but I only have the one phone so it hasn't been tested on any others. If it doesn't work on your phone, let me know and I'll see if I can fix it. Also, you might have to be rooted, I'm not really sure. You're welcome, HBO. I fixed your program.

P.S. I don't have Cinemax, but the app was nearly identical, so I did that one too. httpsCOLON//wwwDOTdropboxDOTcom/s/g04dsiia81w035o/com.HDMI-MAXGo-1.apk. Let me know if it works.

So, Showtime updated their app to version 1.2 (no HDMI of course). It looks like they also added a version check. Basically I cannot open your 1.1 because I am prompted to upgrade...

Showtime Anytime

So it appears that right around the time HBO and Cinemax started to allow people to watch their apps through HDMI, Showtime stopped allowing it. I don't know why. The good news is that the update to the Showtime Anytime app was a big one and the app actually works now!
