overwrite the file and all done

now restart your mobile and your imei is restored

Hi guys i flash with stock rom and my imei got erase and i read how to fix it but i cannot root now :(
So nay idea how to root and write my imei no.


Please help me

I have tried the jb ROM....its working great...
But the camera app is not good....
And the proximity sensor not working...

To enable 720p recording on this phone with jb custom rom...place the attached gallery apk in system>app folder with permissions "rw-r-r"

Indian brands don't actually manufacture the phones on their own. It is all re-branded from Chinese companies.
The reason behind this is the investment and risks of failures involved along with many other factors.
Each mobile phone when sold in the US / EU has to obey a SAR limit specified by their respective local union bodies. Since we don't' have any such thing in India yet (at least not that I know of), the Indian / Asian re-branded products are easier to advertise and sell.

All mobiles emit a certain bit of radiation which is measured in SAR (Specific Absorption Rate)

Therefore, I would say that you are not completely right here when it comes to high radiation.

So, please be aware that if you buy a brand like Samsung or Sony, it does not necessarily mean that you are safe from radiation.
Please be open to all brands, check their SAR values and reviews, go to the nearest store to have a hands-on and only then make appropriate decisions.

    Hi friends and spice mi 500 owners!
    As local devices like mi 500 don't have a separate section for them on xda, here's a specific thread for our mi 500 where you can share everything related to the phone: ROMs, recoveries, themes, games you can play and everything that can be done on an Android.

    Rooting your phone:

    1. Download Bin4ry rooting tool from his thread.
    2. Install drivers on your windows pc using pdanet.
    3. Connect your phone to your pc.
    4. Unzip Bin4ry's tool and run the RunMe.bat batch script.
    5. Follow the instructions that roll in the command window and you will be done.

    A big thanks to Nileshtambe for this.

    ClockworkMod ported to Spice Mi 500!
    1. Download CWM or TWRP recovery.
    2. Rename the downloaded file to recovery.img and transfer it to your phone's sd card.
    3. Download Mobile uncle MTK Tools from Play Store.
    4. Open the app and select update recovery.
    5. Select yes in the confirmation dialog and your recovery will be flashed.
