[Q] CF auto-root doesn't work on N900T
So I downloaded the CF Auto-Root
tool and ran it according to instructions. The Odin tool status reads as follows:
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> CF-Auto-Root-hltetmo-hltetmo-smn900t.tar.md5 is valid.
<OSM> Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..
<OSM> Leave CS..
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 0)
I booted the phone normally, enabled developer options, checked off USB debugging, disconnected my phone from my PC, started the Odin executable, clicked PDA and selected the tar.md5 from the CF Auto-Root rar, put the phone into download mode via VolDown + Home + Power and pressing VolUp to continue into download mode, connected the phone to the computer as soon as it had the Android logo, and clicked Start.
I waited about 5 minutes - no changes on the device and repeated Start clicks just repeat the pasted text above.
I rebooted the phone, plugged it back into the PC, and restarted the Auto-Root steps - no luck.
I haven't installed any drivers specifically, just whatever Windows installs when I plugged in the phone.
Anything else special I need to do?
Edit: resolved and successfully rooted!
I uninstalled the default Samsung drivers and reinstalled with the exe method from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2038555
gib root oh wait have root
Thanks and thanked!
