cant get it to stick.... hm...

edit: got NE3 to stick. couldn't get NE1.

Flashed NE3 on Telus

I flashed NE3 from here... http://xdaforums.com/galaxy-s4-att/general/modem-4-4-2-i337mumufne3-t2815999 everything works.... no issues

I would recommend NE3 modem instead, much better signal then NE1.

Hi, sorry for any newness asking basic questions. My wife's phone stopped working last week after an update saying "Please insert SIM" whenever she tried to select a network. When I go into device info I see Baseband: Unknown, IMEI: Unknown and IMEI SV: Unknown. I read somewhere that an invalid modem can cause the null IMEI issue so I was hoping that flashing this modem would fix the problem. I've followed the steps described by toysareforboys exactly but still no luck.

The phone has previously had AWS enabled I think through QPST (I can verify if this really matter).

At this point I'm really at a loss about how to fix her phone so any help would be really appreciated, thanks.

Personally speaking, haven't heard anyone state improved signal over NE3 or else I would in a flash.

Do you get noticeable signal strength NE3 vs NI1?

I have tried NE 1, NE 3, ng 8, NH 7, ni 1, and ni2. Honestly speaking, I have not seen big difference.

So what difference did you notice between NE3 and NI1/NI2?

Wondering if I should stay on NE3 or flash NI1.
