i've tried flashing your roms on my compact 4. i do mtty, and go on to flash with flashruu. but everytime after 1% it stops and gives error: error (244) invalid model id.
any ideas?

What is "compact 4"?
This ROM is for HTC Diamond, are you sure you choose a right one for your phone?
i have mda comapct 4 too, and some problem too, mda compact 4 is t-mobiles brand of diamond, p3700
Same, you can fix this for us by just adding DIAM**** to the model ID instead of DIAM10000 to wildcard it.

I have just checked on HTC site, no Touch Diamond T-mobile ??? (only Sprint and Verizon). If you have a stock rom, send to me and I will try for you.

you cannot use sprint ROM as base because SPRINT is a CDMA phone
you should use any GSM carrier ROM as base or HTC generic ROM
i recompile rom with nbhtool and works, in win7 nope and in xp sucess!

Probably you need to run nbhtool as admin in w7. I got similar problem sometimes.

mda compact 4 is almost identical to diamond. only housing is different. so far all diamond roms work perfect on my mda, only yours doesn't
bambuchko has rebuilt the rom with nbhtool and made it work for compact4. You may ask him for details. Sorry, I have no clue about this. Did you try another ROM of mine?
QUic question - how about smoothness in your's 2core5.5 when compared to 2core2.4 ?
I don't know - stay with 2.4 or upgrade to 5.5
5.5 has better touch (break effect) and touch is everywhere (contacts, programs, appointment... while 2.4's touch effect comes from Touchflo package, which appears only on contact, programs and without break effect (that means you scroll for example contacts, contacts will flow until the end of the list, if you want to stop, you need to touch it again. break = scroll slow down and stop without touching). However, performance of 5.5 is a bit less as normal 6.5 vs. 6.1
Tried 5.5 - and flashed back 2.4 :] Don't know why, but I don't like wm6.5. It eats too much ram, and it's not so smooth when compared to 6.1
6.5 uses about 7 M ram more than 6.1. But that is not a problem. time to open apps is much more.
However, it's native touch is much more user friendly

Touch scroll is used to zoom in/out on images, zooming in/out inside the web browser and zooming in/out on emails and SMS/MMS and it doesn't work on 2core12.1. So is there a way or a cab to enable it?
I got it, we need SmartTouch package. I will create a cab to test.

this is great effort from you. as you can imagine most of us are crazed with the htc sense and newer builds. dont let this get you down or if u receive comments abt the old age build version.
personally i must say...nice one man. i have been tweaking the stock rom (build 20764) myself. so its good to know i aint the only one alone sticking to stock roms and builds rather than ported builds. my signature says otherwise, thats cos i m checkin out 21057 myself
but this is one rom i wil download and keep in my device from time to time.
