How to boot custom kernel

Hello All,

I'm canvas hd user I'm using samflare V5 rom, I have compiled custom kernel for MMX canvas hd now I want to test it without flashing ,So what are the steps I should follow.

In one article I have read that fastboot is utility which can boot kernel image,I'm using adb for debugging my phone adb devices detects my device but fastboot devices not detect my phone,I'm using ubuntu 12.04 on my PC,Please help me

In Another article I have read about fastboot mode but I dont' know how to go to fastboot mode in canvas HD

ur device is mtk and I don't think it will go to fastboot mode.

Flash kernel

So there is only one way like flash kernel image to device using SP tools?

u can use sp flash tools or uncle tool ,basically I don't have micromax or other mtk devices so that's all I know
