Hi Spica, just to let you know I'm still having a problem with my phone not being able to reboot while using your kernel, I had the same problem on the 1st test kernel too, I don't know if its just my phone or if others are having this problem. Its not a problem that's bothering me but just thought I'd let you know.

Confirming that too....rebooting will result to not working. Had to pull out battery. But the power off option is fine. Rebooting to recovery will be the same as power off. But when you turn on the power, it will goes to recovery. Screen shot option is also working fine.

Not bothering much as the kernel is much faster. Baterry life is also better I think. Need to check after one or two cycle. Thanks Spica...with this early build of your kernel, you have provided a very reliable kernel. Amazing work again....

Nice to see all this development on CM9 kernels. Will try this one soon and report any bug that I'll encounter.

Thx for this! :)

Okay thanks for trying guyz,
Here is my to-do list so far:
-needs to fix unable to reboot phone switches off
-24 bits / 48 khz HW Accelerated audio/video playback
-More lower battery consumption than this
-Optimizing OTF more for the cm9 compatibility

Excellent kernel. So smooth and fluent, even at 800mhz & powersave 3 :D

Spica bhai,

still not able to connect the device as MTP....your suggestion going into recovery and mount-works. but, going to recovery in office is not a good solution. Have tried to restart the laptop and reboot the device....I am on Nova but cannot see the device....but the notification bar says it is connected as a media device...If I may ask you to help me please....
Thanks

For records, kernel by harsh does not reboot too. Am on Spica kernel and looking forward to enjoying his wizardry.

edit 1:
For some reason, I was not able to charge the phone using the car phone charger. To make sure my charger is not broken, I switched off the phone and connected to the charger and it was charging. I then tried charging from my laptop through USB and it worked (and works from wall charger). Too lazy to flash a different kernel and test the car charger but will do it sometime soon.

spica,

after trying ironkrnl & 3.0.8. alpha build, i must say your new testbuild really works best for me on cm9 !

touchscreen is very responsive and phone feels very snappy !

great work !

I also agree, kernel is very fast even without overclocking. It remains to verify the autonomy!

Wonderful Kernel. I used the iron cause of the Oc but this one, spica 1234 feels much faster.

It can be subjective - wanna say thank you and nice to see on ICS Development.

--------------------------------
LG Optimus Speed @ latest Owain CM9 Kang with iRonkernel and V6SC
-----------------

Thank you Spica for that nice kernel , the phone runs very smooth. I am loving your work :)

Sly)
phone is working just as quickly using a single core, it turns out that the second core on the phone gives no advantage (

Thanks a lot. I tested it and it's very smooth.

I had a issue with the Swype keyboard, the keys doesn't appear.

Hi Master Spica,

glad to see your kernel is now official, no need for me to hide anymore lol ;)
Oh I'm pleased;)
W_E_L_C_O_M_E, my inspiration has been doubled for next builds!!!!!!!!!!!

First impressions... it rocks! :) Very fast and stable for now. Multitouch works flawlessly (great improvement for me from stock). Battery life seems to be pretty good for now (that needs more testing). For me, there is no usb mounting problem. No charging BSOD...

Restart problem seems to be present. Phone doesn't reboots, rather shut itself down.

The only other problem I have encountered is some black textures in one of gameloft games (Backstab). Same problem appear on GB releases with some amount of ramhack (I believe above 32mb, or it was on 32mb too, don't remember) but I think that is already fixed in GB kernels (no black textures on 32mb or even more ramhack versions). How much ramhack is this kernel? 48mb?

But maybe it's not even kernel problem, maybe game isn't fully compatible with ICS (or ICS at this early stage). It happens on all kernels I've tried. And some other (demanding) games like Modern Combat 3 or GTA3 works just fine. So it could be game, or rom problem.

It's not a big deal (for that one game if doesn't work), but I wanted to share experience.

BTW. awesome job man, kernel really feels and seems fast and stable.

Okay got an hour,
My to-do list finished:

-reboot/reboot to recovery fixed
-sr2 gb battery driver included seem to provide good battery life
-stability related remaining all remaining vadonka's ics branch changes merged(thanking once again vadonka)
-HW accelarated 24bits 48khz codec audio/video media playback instead 16/44.1khz. Though voice call related bits same as 8 bits
-reverted 32 mb hack. Making it default 0 mb
-OTF controled thermal protection added in battery driver, which regulate smart auto powersave profile switching to prevent overheat and to provide more robust control(up to 95%) to prevent charging bsod
-OTF remastered to be more specific compatible with ICS
-OTF GPUHACK added(Thanks to vadonka to expand OTF)

Finalizing to upload source very soon for devs.

Testing, fortunately hard for me to find an issue.
If everything seems to go well then an RC1 could be expected:)

Your hours seems longer than mine regarding what you are able to do during that time!

Be careful to have proper anti-overheat driver loaded in your brain too lol...

Recommendation for HP ICS Kernels for maxium performance:
    (*) Apex Launcher
(*) Settings-> Performance -> Memory Management -> Kernel Samepage Merging
(*) Settings -> Performance -> Scrolling Cache-> Default Disable (Thanks to Owain)
(*) Settings -> Developer Options-> Force GPU Rendering(May perform better regarding apps-opening responce and overall smoothness or may perform worst, test it yourself)
(*) Settings -> Developer Options -> Windows Animation Scale ->0.5x

    OTF GPU Usage(Credits to Vadonka):

To apply your desired RamHack, follow these steps:

    -Open Terminal Emulator
    -write command 'su'
    -write command 'rh'
-select your ramhack by enter value eg. 2 and then press enter
-wait till it shows finished message
-then write command 'sync && reboot' Mobile will be reboot with your ramhack value. Ramhack recommendations 32mb/48mb
    Enjoy the ramhack.

Lol. Yes as I said earlier next kernel will be 3.0 Kernel. I need to merge every of my OTF and other function manually so it'l take time. Till then you can enjoy the goodies of last release kernel. It's already smooth and effecrtive battery life;)
