Milestone touch screen issue - Hardware or ROM issue?
I have a completely non-responsive touch screen w/ my Motorola Milestone. It was going in/out for 3 days, restarts would always fix it, until finally it wouldn't recover responsiveness after a restart either.
The phone also is generally acting weird/bizarre. If I receive a call and it rings until battery is pulled ( I can't answer because of touch screen, but it still should end the ringtone sequence after the standard 5 rings!) There is also a longer than normal start time, and weird looking graphical errors on the unlock screen.
Does this seem like hardware or software? If software, potentially, what can I do to fix this? I have already tried three things: 1) Booting into OPEN RECOVERY, and re-installing CyanogenMOD 7.2.f, .... 2) Then tried a Nandroid Backup from a few weeks ago ..... 3) Then tried the "Factory Reset" option. None worked, same issues!
Any help is greatly appreciated....!
