Hi all,

Unfortunately the kitchen is closed on the CursorSense ROM. There will be no 2.2 version coming out. I no longer have an HTC Magic and I'm not really developing for public consumption anymore.
I think it's awesome that so many of you are hanging around waiting for me to develop a new version though! It's really amazing how I've managed to reach so many people with my work! I really appreciate all of your support.
Thanks to my loyal followers, and thanks to the people who helped support the huge user base running CursorSense (ionhide, eyegor, BULL3TPR00F, Dave778 to name a few, very sorry if I forgot anyone!)
There are plenty decent HTC Magic ROMs available. I'd recommend either CyanogenMod or Smoki X.1 (the only HTC ROM able to get more thread replies than mine, so far)

You're welcome to keep using CursorSense, but somebody please mirror the files. My webhost will be stopping soon.

If anyone ever needs one of those files I still have them on my HDD, including HoFo kernel, and MLIGN mod.

Would you post the sources? I'd like to play with this, even if I've never done anything with kitchens and ROM coding.

If you want to play with the kernel Cursor posted his source to github (github.com/cursordroid as far as I remember) as for ROMs you'll find lots guides in the chef central subforum

Best ROM ever

My HTC Sensation is in service (dust under the screen) so I use my good old HTC Magic again. I needed a ROM to be fast enough and very stable and also with the new radio because the sound quality and volume is much better. I started with CM7, some Gingerbread Sense Ports but all were to slow. I said I have to try again this ROM, since it was great back in the old days. So yesterday I installed it and I must say it is great . It's true that there are a lot of application unavailable for Android 1.5 but I found what i needed. My only problem was with the browser which is less impressive but it got solved by installing Opera Mini.

Overall this is the best ROM for HTC Magic even if it is only Android 1.5

Next time I will have to go back to HTC Magic again it will be a easy choice.
