Does the audioupdate.zip by sbradymobile work on this ROM? Got new skull candy inked mic ear buds.

News and Weather App Strangeness

Just upgraded from CM10.1/SGT7 to this. No problems so far except 2 minor ones:

1. Back, Home, etc. buttons sometimes need second tap - this may be due to the screen not recognizing the full area of the tap?
2. News and Weather app - Weather worked fine in 10.1, now I get "acquiring location" which then fails. I need to manually set my zipcode. Not a biggie, just annoying. News is working fine.

Trebuchet has closed on me a couple of times. Has done it a bit more than 10.1, but again, not a huge problem. Doing nothing but closing apps, or moving some to the main screens.

EDIT: I followed the upgrade directions and wiped only Dalvik and cache. Should I do a complete wipe even though I was running CM10.1/SGT7?

Yeah is there a way yet to turn it off? It keeps crashing my system hi when I reboot. The only way I found that gets around it is spamming my lock icon before the kindle fully boots up.

I have tried multiple times to get the most RAM but at the most I cant get past 130-140. Most games like MC 4 Or NFS MW I use require about 160 or 150 RAM to run or else I they FC. I tried multiple methods like Revolting and Greenify but doblnt work
How can I get the Max out of this ROM? Currently I want to keep the CM features but if I want the most of RAM I need a AOSP ROM which I don't want.

Wi-Fi problem

There seems to be some problem with the Wi-Fi scan.
The system does not broadcast scan results available intent unless there is a WPS setup in process.
All the 3rd party app are affected, including the famouse Wifi Analyzer and my app (Wifi Connection Manager).

Yup. Happened to me too after changing to tablet ui. Now there is no way to change to phone ui.

Another thing, how to make the volume slider in tablet ui status bar to always change the media volume? Currently, without media sound being played, changing the volume slider will change notification volume. I think we dont always want to change notification volume for our kindle.

Hi,
can you add fullscreen mode to the rom.
The fullscreen mode just hides the lower bar.
Check the gederom thread to see what it is.

Our tablets are hindered due to a lack of ram, but there is a bit we can do to stretch it. I love these ROMs, but they leave in a ton of superfluous programs which eat up our limited memory and/or are specific for phones/data ready tablets. Here's a quick guide to a bunch of programs that can be deleted or frozen to free up resources. You still won't have a ton, but it helps.
