If anybody is unsure, maybe a quick read thru the original Kingdroid 1.0 thread may help you understand better, at least you will better understand from where it had evolved:

ok i loved kingdroid gb rom v7 but i have concerns with the cf root on this on as its lpy i think that once more ics becomes available and jkays mod is ready for ics that this rom will beat all the rest, but for now the cfroot makes me wary so will wait unfortunately
For 1, jkay had never stated intention to support ICS, if yes, it will be most welcome.

just done a full wipe from TheMIDTeam 1.2 Final and flash the KingDroid 1.1, S Note is in, so as My Story & Crayon Physics & the new S Memo widget. But Angry Birds Space is missing.... but not an issue to me, as I've purchase the Prime version from Play Store
The S Note and My Story is in the hidden folder.
TMT beta 2 do not have My Story and S Note is buggy, which is why TMT supplied separate 2 apks for theses. That is in Beta 2, maybe final had all in already.

I can tell my idea for installation, like i did with 100% success in AlBa and criscelo.
Install abyssnote 4.2 kernel (via mobile Odin or recovery).
Reboot into recovery.
Full wipe.
Install ROM.
But it's better to clear that.
Sent from my mind...
I will say your instruction is correct because you know what is what, but be careful with newbies here, if they instead of booting to advance > recovery before flash, instead they boot the rom with Abyss, then these newbies will be lost again, better publish a safe path for newbies sake...
I really suggest following TMT's method, he is only trying to be safe for all, the path may be a little longer but at least it will be safe to newbies.
