Here are the link for post #3. For those who don't read through previous post.

This tutorial is for 4.1.B.0.587 only!

1) flash the 4.1.B.0.431 kernel:

note: you might get errors after the reboot, don't worry, this is normal and step 3 will fix that.

2) root your Arc/s with DooMLoRD's tool:

hello i've already had my phone rooted then tried to flas ultimate hd room and flashed stock rom and kernel. now i can not root it again. i've tried doomlord exploit method and nothinh.

Do you have Flashtool? Flashtool file can get from: http://androxyde.github.io/

If your phone already in 4.1.B.0.587 firmware, no need flash stock 4.1.B.0.587 firmware. If not, you need flash 4.1.B.0.587 firmware before root it.

Flash 4.1.B.0.431 kernel using Flashtool.

Hey guys,

Trying to root my arc cause I dropped my s3 in the pool

Anyway, Im not a noob when it comes to these things cause I rooted and flashed my s3 and s2 before but im having problems trying to this phone

I have the LT15A,and build number is 4.1.B.0.587.

So im trying to root so I can install cwm and another rom. Following the instructions above:

Flash 4.1.B.0.431 kernel using Flashtool.

I can get passed step 1, with a confirmation in flashtool. Afterwards my build number is the same, however i read it doesnt change cause we are flashing a different kernel. So next I try and root using Doomlords rootkit and I have all these read only errors at the end.

Edit: Also checked out the third post where it says use kernel .562 which I have tried as well and get the same results. Not sure where else to turn to
