It should be working then. Try issuing
command - you need to be in the ROM anyway when rumrunner starts its magic.

use usb 2 ports
The bypass of s-on in 4ext recovery failed me a couple of times when I tried flashing a kernel but I did restore the boot.img via adb.
Otherwise, not much. I did s-off just for the fun of it.

hey. i usin the juopunutbear to s-off my htc sensation and im stuck at d wire trick part of cuz i cant get it right. my command propmt keep keep givin me error messages and i want revert d process and try this one how can i go about doin dat

my hboot is ulocked and it 1.27 and its rooted i used vroot to root it. the error is deamon server is out of date n its sayin another about deamon runnin error r sumn like dat dont remember exactly
if you want to S-OFF with this guide just flash viperS 5.2.1 rom or revelation rom
then use the rumrunner method to S-OFF
download and install 4ext updater
from that app install the latest version of 4ext recovery
no it doesn't factory reset the phone
some users succeded with stock rom
check first post what to do while on stock rom

are you completely stock?
is your bootloader unlocked?
hi sorry i should have come back and said, it sat like that for ages (and i mean like an hour) and eventually it failed. however it seems ta have work as next i was in the bootloader it said s-off. so i think its all working as it should now. am flashing a rom and rebooting just now.

Note: If HTCDEV UNLOCK is failing because of new motherboards after replacement,the only way to s-off is here. No!!!!
It is said to work EVEN WITH TEMPROOT!!! Go to this thread, temp root your device, and do the following instructions!!

Don't make yourself so nervous and lose patience!! The Rumrunner s-off is working on the sensation.

Maybe it will work on other roms, try and tell me the results.
Although it was not said in rumrunner website, I recommend to do a full backup and do the procedures after a clean flash to avoid problems.

Happy S-OFFing!!! :good::good::good:3Thank you for this awesome tool! i had been looking for about a million years now on how to s-offwithout the pain of wiretrick..coz my hboot is 1.29. and somebody here, a subscriber of the ViperS5.1.0 rom thread gave me this tip..and so i tried and volla! i am now S-OFF..painlessly easy. but i had to watch a rumrunner tut video on YouTube (doing it on an HTC One) coz i was confused why the tool can't detect my phone despite meeting all the fastboot requirements (my copy of @Hassoon2000's sensation 4G all in one kit can detect my phone) and realized that i don't need to be on fastboot mode. so now after sorting out the culprit, i succeeded. and now my device is s-off after a million years! :good:

someone long time ago mentioned that it was an issue from rumrunner server
you can use the flashable stock rom for juopunutbear method too(link in my signature)
just make a nandroid of your current
flash the stock rom
do the jb S-OFF
revert to the nandroid
edit: if you want to flash a new custom rom using the 4ext recovery just use only the format all partitions except sdcard option
then flash the new rom
it is the standard way of flashing custom roms
