[Q] youtube & 1080p

I have a lg g2 d801 4.4.2 cloudy g3 rom and i have never been able to play 1080p videos even while on stock g2 rom, I try and change the build.prop to different ones to see if it works and it doesn't, does anyone else here have the same or similar similar? btw i have the latest youtube app is 5.9+

heres the xda guide that says if change your build.prop to 4.4.2 you can get 1080p.
