HD VOICE
HTC also promises that sound quality has been improved -- in fact, the EVO 4G LTE is set to become Sprint's first HD Voice-capable phone...The smartphone uses dual microphones, along with encoders and decoders to capture and transmit your voice from one equipped device to another -- that's right, for now, you and another caller will both need to be using this specific handset, paired with compatible network access points, which Sprint will begin rolling out shortly as part of its "Network Vision."

...The test took place across two audio booths. I had the original Evo and the Evo 4G LTE in my booth and a Sprint rep had both phones in a separate booth. First we talked on the original Evo. Exactly what you’d expect. Then we talked on the Evo 4G LTE and… wow. I was pretty floored at the difference. Much more crisp, much more clear, almost to the point of sounding a bit fake, as if you’re listening to a television broadcast. Then the Sprint rep turned on music. Loud music. Using the Evo 4G LTE I couldn’t really hear anything in the background. Switch back to the original Evo and… wow. Lots of noise. Turns out that Sprint’s HD Voice is much more than just a line in the tech specs. It greatly improved both audio quality and noise cancellation in a very obvious and welcoming way...

HTC Sense 4.0
*Dropbox integration-> 25Gb storage for 2yr free!
*WiFi Sync enabled, allowing you to sync with your PC over WiFi after installing music manager and syncing once
**BeatsAudio-> fully Integrated to work across ANY 3rd party app!!
*ImageSense: Completely revamped camera area...auto focus is 0.2sec, shutter time of 0.7sec
*Dual Shutter Camera Module->allows you to record video and take pics at same time

Reserved just in case too much info gets in here...

http://www.youtube.com/v/JpdPU8QatDM
Videos above at the 25sec mark of one you can see what looks like a 3D prototype...likely something they ran across during the design phase as there are many different versions of the device shown in the video......
And with that said Engadget just confirmed my thought "...it's just an early design when HTC and Sprint were considering carrying over the 3D feature, but it didn't make the cut..."
http://www.engadget.com/2012/04/05/htc-evo-3d-prototype/

In case you doubt it being an upgrade consider this...:
from EVO4G to EVO3D you got the following:
*jump from single core to dual core (S1 to S3)..
*3D camera and screen
*move to QHD screen resolution
*more RAM
*jump to Sense 3.0
*Adreno 200 to 220 GPU jump

From EVO3D to HTC 4G LTE:
*Jump from S3 45nm Cortex-A9(like) chip to S4 28nm Cortex-A15(like) chip with modem build into die,(battery saving improvement)*
-Dual channel Memory tech bumped from single channel 333MHz to dual channel 500MHz
-slight GPU boost
*SLCD2 720p Screen- think its even 312ppi too(compared the 3D's i think 246ppi, and iPhone4s which has 326ppi)
*jump to Sense 4.0
*ImageSense Tech with dedicated image chip that allows the following:
-0.7sec to take a shot, w/ 0.2-seconds autofocus
-VideoPic stuff taking pictures while recording video or watching one
*bump from the old f/2.4 lens to f/2.0 which allows capturing 40% more light (compared to the f/2.4 on the iPhone 4S, f/2.65 on the Galaxy S II)
*LTE Device

regardless its an upgrade.

XDA user Rydah805 posted up this photo at the link below stating he
...Snagged a quick pic of a friends screen from a corporate Sprint store had this sitting on his screen. There was also something new from Samsung a month before this one is supposed to drop. No other info. Says around June 17, 2012. Don't know anything else....

Rumors:
HTC EVO ONE

4.7 inch, 720p AMOLED screen
1.5 dual-core Krait processor
2650mah non-removal battery
16GB internal memory
microSD card slot
Android 4.0 with 4.0 sense
8-megapixel camera with 2.0 front-facing camera

Beats by Dre audio
http://www.androidcentral.com/could-be-next-generation-htc-evo-sprint
http://forums.androidcentral.com/ht...t-htc-once-x-coming-sprint-4.html#post1677212

Note:
*"...Our tipster was able to confirm that it will come with SLCD2, just like the international version. Boom...."
*"...Sprint version with the device remaining mostly black with silver accents and a red stripe around where the kickstand pops out..."
*"...And since we’re on the topic of rumors, I’ve also been hearing that a few *"Sprint employees have started training for the Galaxy Note (as well as the Evo One)..."
http://phandroid.com/2012/03/28/spr...llo-to-kickstand-and-expandable-memory-rumor/

The phandroid article also mentioned possibly a "metal" case but I find this highly doubtful as it is almost certain that the device will have NFC and the reason the OneS doesn't have NFC is supposedly b/c of the metal casing it has...

I heard the screen tech was going to be AMOLED? :)

In any case, if all the rumors, mainly expandable memory and the battery capacity turn out to be true, this WILL be my next phone. TBH I don't care about the non-removable battery if it's 2650. Actually, I don't care about removable batteries at all. I haven't once had to remove my battery to replace it with another and it actually makes for a cumbersome task if you use a TPU case like I do, with a nice snug fit. Removing the battery weakens the battery door of the EVO 3D as well as the snug fit of the TPU case. Bring on the unibody design HTC!

SLCD2 :)

Ditto on the whole removable battery thing...I guess extreme power users like the guy that did the CM9 video would be upset...long as there is expandable memory im good to go...

The one thing I am curious about is the LTE bands they will include in the device...If they include the 800 & 2500 bands or least the 2500 I'll be pleased. Otherwise its going to be a tough call. With no premier yearly upgrade and them still tinkering with the current buyback upgrade program there is a big variable to deal with...Knowing that purchasing the phone in June this year that I'd have to wait till Feb '14 before eligible to upgrade again is a tough task to deal with...Really would make me not upgrade then till a full 24months and wait till June to get the Next EVO that year...sneaky Sprint 20months sounds soo much better than 24 yet in reality you'll likely wait till 24 so you dont get old hardware. :)
Of course they could give my +10yr account yearly upgrades again and all would be good...lol :D

In the same boat here. Will upgrade in June for this phone and then will be hard to wait another 2 years to upgrade when next year, something bigger and better will come out. May just have to reach a bit deeper in my pockets to get the fix every year. :D

1. With no battery pull. I'm guessing we would have a hard reset for reboot or recovery? If we got in a jam.
2. How much could this cost 600 is my limit.

Thank you Slaughter! We needed this!

I think I will pass on this but use the upgrade for my wife since she loves photography. I was thinking of upgrading her EVO to an iPhone but, nah, this is better!

I've spent a lot of money on accessories for my 3D that I don't want to give it up in 4 months, some of them are transferrable to another phone like bluetooth headphones, extra USB cables and a 32 GB sd. The others are not like Casemate Pop case, the HTC dock and a TPU case.

You could probably easily get the phone for under 600. CDMA phones have a habit of falling under price extremely fast. You could always sell the EVO 3D too for extra cash.

She doesn't buy accessories. In fact the case I bought for EVO, she didn't use until she dropped it and cracked the digitizer. Yeah I was pissed, I traded in my Hero for her Otterbox TPU case that she didn't use. I miss that little bugger, the Hero, wish I kept it since it has camera working on its ICS roms. Needless to say, she uses the case now but thats it for accessories.

Likely be a power button + volume button combination of some sort to reboot the device when its locked up.

Slaughter, not to worry about me jumping HTC's ship, still on it. I'm just really happy with my 3D and I see my wife having problems with her EVO all the time, random reboots and stuff. Using the stock rom and she won't let me flash another rom. It is rooted S-Off though. I'll probably wait for my upgrade to go with the EVO after this upcoming EVO.
