I'm trying to install Dynamics v2.2 but I'm unable to enter the format screen with power button + volume down + camera button, it keeps looping the omnia 7 logo.
I have previously installed Dynamics v2.1.
Anyone experienced this before and can help me solve it? Might updating to latest version in Zune solve this?
Update: managed to get it working only with usb cable, by installing MAGLDR again (first needed to update samsung USB drivers)
To reach MAGLDR menu I now have to do the following:
- remove/insert battery
- press and hold volume down + camera button
- insert usbcable
and then after pressing the back button the MAGLDR menu appears

Thanks Omnia7xdax it is indeed a hardware problem. The camera button seems to be the issue here.
Have to really press it hard or it won't accept the combination.
Yes it's a known problem that over time the camera button requires a lot of force to press. Someone said they fixed it by disassembling and cleaning that area...

Hi omnia 7 Lovers
will upload this kitchen ( Dynamics v2.2) in the next few weeks ( its a real big one ) it will have the latest sys builds in it.
this kitchen will not run out of the box because its a Multi kitchen (more then one phone in one kitchen and it also used .svn to sync with other members of the team) and Multi Lang and Multi build
this means you Need to clean it. ( and I will not help you with that so don't ask)
why it will take me Abit time to upload is because i Need to remove some stuff and it will take Abit of time to upload.
this also means you can now make your update cab's yourself , all drivers are in the kitchen and the certs too

damn, update process was so counter-intuitive it was scary. that long black screen not knowing if it's turned off or moving to next step of update or rebooting and then the icon showing to not disconnect the phone (even if it is disconnected) and only if you leave it like that for like 10 minutes you start to see that it's actually doing something.

WPBackup v1.0
WPBackup is an application to save information from your device and move it
to another ROM.
Supported "zones":- Contacts, SMS, schedule

BACKUP
Before you continue, you may want to make a backup of your device for in case something goes wrong. You can do this with the update tools, but I use a separate tool to have more control over the backup-process. This is what I do to make a backup:
- Download CabSender
It is from xboxmod's WP7 Update Cab Sender thread. - Use Zune 4.8 final (4.8.2345.0).
- Setup-UpdateWP 4.8 beta 3 from the archive.
- Extract the "Tools" folder from the archive.
- Setup the Backup tool to reference Zune.exe and the UpdateWP.exe in the extracted Tools-folder.
- Create your backup.
- The backup app will allow you to archive any previous backup.
- Your phone will restart and go in Download-mode.
- When the backup is finished, the app will tell you to disconnect.
Even though your phone says you still can't disconnect, you can safely disconnect the phone and it will restart.
INSTALL WP7 UPDATE TOOLS
- First make sure you have Zune 4.8 final (build 4.8.2345.0)
- Download the WP7_update_tool.rar and install the UpdateWP package for your platform (x86 or x64). This is version 4.8.2134.0.
- Download the WP7 Update Cab Sender.zip from xboxmod and extract it. This also contains a patched version of UpdateWP.exe which will work with Zune 4.8 final.
INSTALL THE UPDATE PACKAGES
- Copy all the CAB files you downloaded to the folder where you extracted xboxmod's WP7 Update Cab Sender. The CAB's should be in the same folder as the BAT-file.
- Run the batch-file and press 'S'.
- Your device will reboot and start in download-mode.
- You'll see progress on the screen of your desktop, but it may take more than 10 minutes before your WP7 device is starting to show a progress-bar, even for small updates. That's normal, because the device is scanning for installed packages and performing merges.
- When the update is ready, your device will be rebooted again and it will boot Windows Phone with new version and or custom packages.
