I tried it too and it was working... until I decided to change the transparency of the status bar to 100%...
Then, SystemUI stopped every 2 seconds, so I deselected the module and restarted, cleared cache and data or Gravitybox, reselected it, restarted.
SystemUI stopped like crazy again.
And then (who knows why) I pressed (I'd say involuntarily, but that was not the case) the "expanded desktop" button thinking that maybe the mess had to do only with the status bar.
Needless to say that it hadn't.
At that time SOD like crazy, I mean I turned on/off like 15 times to make it work again.
Eventually the screen (with SystemUI error) came up, I deselected and uninstalled the Gravitybox module and made a reservation with my tattooist for a tattoo on my forearm that says: "If it's supposed to work on AOSP ROMs ONLY, and you have a F@£&ING stock ROM, DON'T INSTALL IT!".
Seen that I crapped in my pants tonight too, I'd say it's time to go to bed. (And unlocking the bootloader comes closer and closer...).
