All AOSP and TW ROMs are running on 3.0.x kernel. Is there any ongoing effort to move to 3.4.x kernel?
Only Samsung can do that effort ,may be the next firmware upgrade afte ND3 might have it .let's hope it does, supposed to be more power efficient so if one can tweak it even more that would do a world of good to our note II

This is perhaps the last substantial update from Samsung. I have HP Touchpad which was abandoned by HP with custom 2.6.x (and WebOS). Some really helpful and committed developers at xda/cm/evervolv not only managed to get latest android versions working on it, but also ported it to 3.0.x and 3.4.x kernels.

Considering Note 2 Development Community and user-base is much bigger than that of HP Touchpad, I thought someone might be working on it. Let's wait and watch.
