Changelog

Installation of CM10.1 (if your recovery freezes at installing update, just reboot and try again)

1. Flash a custom recovery with Odin as PDA.
2. After you boot into recovery backup your current rom in case you want to go back (later you can use the Restore option)
3. After you've made your backup go to 'mounts and storage' and format the following
  • system
  • data
  • cache
4. Install zip from sdcard -> latest build from here (please no mirrors, I want to see how many people use it)
5. Install zip from sdcard -> gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip
6. Reboot!

Updating from previous nightlies:

1. Reboot to recovery
2. Install .zip from sdcard
3. Reboot

No wiping required.

Recovery cant mount system. Im going to try to flash stock I9505XXUAMDF instead of I9505XXUAMDM and see if it solves the system mount issue.

Awesome work!

Respectfully, Does it work as a phone? should probably update OP to include radio (or modem?) if it is, I know working would imply it is 'working', but just for the sake of clarity... cheers. I know one of the other guys reported 3g data working I suppose that's the same thing ^^,
Will flash this today. I suppose it has full root /working su binary, busybox etc :)?
Sorry for all the questions, this is my primary phone I don't want to root it (pardon the pun, it is quite funny lol)
Running stock MDE build atm. Will let you know how it goes!

Works like a bought one :p

I'm glad I have not been ignored by the CM team completely and that my device tree was finally merged after 3 weeks! It seems they decided to go with jfltexx instead of i9505. Doesn't really matter. Thank you all for helping out in getting my own S4 and in helping me kickstart a device into official CM support!
I'm sure the official nightlies will catch up and will be as good as any other 'stable' releases for other devices. I am concluding the compilation of my unofficial builds from today. I will try to update Rootbox or any other rom that interests me (AOSPA?). CM will always be the backbone to any rom, so whatever you use keep in mind that it all started here. Thanks to everyone who used my builds! Good times for i9505 owners have come.

If you want it to work 100% (with all wifi channel's and dchspa) do what Aerys wrote + flash this package afterwards.

BTW. Big news. I got my phone!!! Starting to fix the recovery with Phil!
